WoV graphics problem

I've just installed Wings over Vietnam and patched it to oct. 2008. and this is what I got. It is the same without the patch and it is the same with AG war expansion pack. I got Nvidia GTS 450 on Win/7. Btw SF2 merged with lots of addons is working dandy.

Assume you installed the DX9c runtimes etc that dont come with Win 7? - WOV is DX9 only.

I've downloaded and installed this but it didn't solve the problem.

That is DX9 is INCOMPLETE, you need to download and install the full M$ DX9 download, not their webbased download.

Downloaded and installed the latest dx9c version from here (http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/). Problem is still there.

WHERE did you install the game to???

 

if using Win7, you should't install to the default path: C:/Program Files X86/Wings over Europe,

but to the ROOT of /C

 

C:/Wings Over Europe

 

this avoids the Win7 security thingys

WoV is on my D partition. Win7 is on C.

I'm not keen on downgrading VGA driver because of my other sims. Anyways, thanks everyone for your help. Guess I can't have them all...

Check to make sure you have selected 32 bit color settings and not 16 bit.
