Olham 164 Posted September 9, 2012 I have just found this book title "Hauptmann Boelckes Feldberichte" (1916). I wonder, if anyone here actually read this book? And if you did know the above title - is there a better book about Boelcke you would recommend? I'd like to get a better insight into the person Oswald Boelcke. RAF_Louvert 101 Posted September 9, 2012 . Olham I have an original 1917 first English translation of this little volume, titled "An Aviator's Field Book". It is Boelcke's own field reports from 1 August 1914 to 28 October 1916. It's an excellent albeit brief read and is well worth the investment, IMHO. . They have it! Oddly enough, a new hard-back copy is $16 while used copies go for $27. (go figure) I got the new copy, but they did not specify whether it was in German or English.
