I recently spent a couple of days in Las Vegas, somewhere I'd wanted to see for a while now. I really enjoyed it but why did no-one tell me about those annoying-midget-pornocard/ticket jockeys who inhabit every bloody pedestrian crossing ? Aaaarrggghhh the way they "clicked" the tickets then tried to give you a handful made my blood boil. Yeah yeah I know everyone's got to earn a living and lordy knows I'm no prude but jeezus it's a good job I wasn't armed. The vertically challenged of The Vegas Strip would have become an endangered species. That's it, rant-ette over.

I take you missed the tour at Nellis? Every Tuesday and Thursday, you can tour The Thunderbirds facility ... something NOT to be missed!!

Another reason we don't have guns over here - the women would shoot everybody!

Did you find anything good about the American culture?

Didn't do Nellis unfortunately it wasn't that kind of trip.

In fact I visited quite a few places in the US on my bucket list and really loved my time over the pond.

Glad to hear - Anywhere interesting? - any air museums?

When in Vegas you walk inside the hotels. Oh, and the train.

I got to see the Star Trek Experience a couple of times before they shut it down at least.

Nothing to do with aircraft of any sort - unfortunately - unless you class the airports and driving past a few Air bases (Hill AFB in Utah I particularly remember and also some of the Minutman facilities in WY and CO we managed to spot).

It was a nice long road trip visiting some of the places I've always wanted to see.

Wyoming prairie lands ( god I love that state) Yellowstone, Black Hills in SD, the Rockies around Denver, Grand Canyon, Bryce National Park and Vegas to name a few.

Got to say it was probably the best six weeks of my life so far.
