I'll post FC3 bugs here since I know they're looking at this forum as well. First pic in each series shows where the pipper is aimed, second is a short time later as tracers pass high beyond enemy a/c. You'll notice in last series that I'm almost at a 6 o'clock position. I've only configured two other a/c, one being the MIG and it's gun pipper is dead on.

Actually, that looks like the problem is with the gun stream, not the pipper. That pipper looks right, but those bullets seem to sail off where the nose is pointing w/o regard to the fact that you're turning ie like lasers instead of bullets.

I noticed you had to really zoom in to see the HUD clearly. Mine is very difficult to read.

Several bits of code that were working in 1.2.1 are now MIA (completely removed or disabled).

13 - Russian planes Nav circle misalignment in ENR/RTN modes

14 - Engines/Afterburner on even though engines on fire.

15 - R27ER no loft trajectory *No Bug - As Intended*

16 - Mig31 nosewheel not grounded

17 - Canopy jettison animation wrong

18 - EOS scanning not functional in elevation

19 - SU-27 cockpit textures include English labels. Not consistent translation. Examples: MSL and GUN on the weapons panel

20 - SU27 entire RWR is in English

21 - SU-27 native HUD "ИЗЛ" symbol overlaps over distance scale in BVR mode with Radar on

22 - F15 HUD indications overlapping

23 - Su-25, Su-25T and Mig-29 Caution, Warning and Trim lights are in english instead of russian letters

24 - HUD contacts in front appears also in Rear Aspect Mode.

25 - Frontal aspect HUD contacts appears in Rear radar mode and can be locked

26 - SU33 Green HUD block at night effect

27 - A10 ADI switched

28 - F15 black cockpit pixelation when facing northerly direction (afternoon)

29 - MIG29 Command Airspeed in LDG mode way below minimum

30 - SU27 Command Airspeed in LDG mode slightly below minimum

31 - Graphical glitch (hash marks) in lower centre of SU27 HUD when zoomed out

32 - Graphical glitch (hash marks) in lower centre of SU33 HUD when zoomed out

33 - F15 no drag increase with external fuel tanks

34 - Flyables smoke pod colours are incorrectly designated

35 - Scripting for cobra not present

41 - F-15C CTD initiated by changing the weapons (CTD when the player lock in the NAV mode a target with the radar and change the weapons)

44 - G940 HOTAS FFB issues/not functioning correctly

45 - F15 unable to adjust altimeter pressure setting at all.

46 - F-15C antenna does not track PTD in elevation with TWS

47 - Air to Air missiles do not have INS

48 - ECM uses FC2 behaviour in DCS world

49 - Missiles expend too much speed when turning

50 - Short range missiles do not turn hard enough

51 - Virtual Pilot G-Tolerance is too low

52 - Helicopters are exhibiting stealth characteristics

53 - SU25A Airbrake Pylons keep defaulting to the Russian SU-25 1st skin and the bort numbers become an outline in external view when zoomed out. 54 - SU33/27, Mig29 RWR does not indicate A.I. missile launch

55 - Russian HUD guidance symbology in LNDG mode incorrect - missing glide slope error circle at certain runways

56 - Russian plane pilots have corrupted Pilot head textures at night

57 - Russian planes have corrupted landing light animations - MiG-29A,G/S and Su-27/33 have incorrect landing light animations

58 - Missile HOJ mode not functional

59 - Mig29 incorrect flaps deployed for player-controlled aircraft

60 - Multiplayer datalink not functional for Russian aircraft

61 - F15 no afterburner LED on right panel to indicate burner lit

62 - F15 flaps do not induce any drag

63 - F15 strange attitude/behaviour with crosswind landings

64 - AIM9 drops away before accelerating at launch

65 - Chimney smoke visible through undercast

66 - Mig29 flaps not extending to full 25 degrees

67 - Mig 29 flap extension animation incorrect

68 - Mig29 flaps automatically retracted at very low airspeeds

69 - Mig29 Chaff and Flare loaded amount incorrect/does not correspond with ME setting

70 - Russian planes slip indicators and HSI offset from centre

71 - Multiplayer audio from other players not present (drogue chute)

72 - Multiplayer exhaust nozzle expansion not visible to other clients

73 - SU27 gets AoA warning of F15

74 - Water not visible in mirrors of FC3 aircraft

Significant bugs

 

1: Cruise missiles, especially air launched ones are borked. They fall to the ground like bombs. Not sure if ships in this series have cruise missiles enabled (like in LockOn, and FC1 and FC2).

 

2: Player F-15 variable geometry intake ramps don't fully function. AI F-15s they appear to work fine

 

3: Fog does some weird things to textures rendered by NVIDIA cards, especially at high atl. Textures do not render on objects when fog is enabled.

 

4: Not sure if tanker belly lights work.

 

5: Some aircraft appear to be "floating" when taxing, helicopters appear to be fine, but the nose wheels of a lot of Russian AC and heavies seem elevated.

 

6: Not sure if there is a damage model for hard landings (especially crosswind landings for the F-15). The SU-25 seems too delicate when landing, the F-15 can get slammed sideways and still taxi fine.

 

7:No drag or weight for fuel tanks and weapons on F-15.

 

8: Fuel management issues for AI? Usually wing man number 4 runs out of gas far too quickly (even with 3 bags on).

 

9: Flaps add lift, but no drag.

 

10: No way to communicate with elements or wing man #4.

 

11: Escort function for AI flights seems screwed. Instead of preforming assigned task, AI just head in one compass direction until they hit the "edge" of map.

 

12: Hud colors, brightness, font, etc. really needs to be looked at. Some of those features can be adjusted in flight; however, stuff still runs together.

 

Annoyances

 

1: com menus popping up every time ATC or AWACs contacts you. Useful for taxing or waiting take off clearance, not so helpful when AWACs is randomly droning on about every movement.

 

2: No wingtip/wing vapor.

 

3: Formations seem a bit borked (not looking for Snowbirds of Red Arrow type stuff, but there were more formation choices and AI were better able to hold them in FC 1 & 2).

 

4: AI is still "dumb" is some aspects, especially A/A and intercept missions. Rules of engagement/status, i.e. like assigned to combat ships may need to be re-examined. (A flight should not use all of its fuel to cross the map and attack another flight, nor it should it just go "drone" when flying its way-points and not react to enemies approaching, especially when there is EW and AWACs support.)

 

5: The ability to set up GCI ground alert intercept flights is gone from the editor.

 

6: MIG-23 bort numbers do not fully render/show.

 

7: Still some minor bugs when multiple flights are taking off or landing at an airfield.

 

8: F-15 cannon sound does not line up with firing (usually hear the growl, longer after the round have been fired.)

 

9: F-15 GUN piper/tracking needs to be looked at.

 

Cool Stuff

 

1: Tire marks from landing stay on runway.

 

2: ATC and taxing vastly improved (aircraft still run into each other or block each others' path still a "bug" left over from FC 1/2).

 

3: F-15, E-3, IL-76 Variants look amazing!

Ironroad I need some screen shots of the problems you had. ie. the fog rending, the cruise missile problem. The faster you get them to me the better.

Initially was worried my card was artifacting, but only noticed this issue with winter and fog enabled. Appears on several flights after they take off and reach above 5000 AGL.

Regular clouds, high traffic (both air and ground), and dynamic weather, everything seems, fine, just that damn fog.

 

Gets really bad over cities. NVIDIA user with the latest release (non-beta) drivers installed.

Poor little Kent, would always get drunk as a skunk and fall flat on his face.

 

Old boy tries to pull out of it, but just can't.

 

 

Same problem with ALCMs too...

 

 

Antiship missiles seem to work fine, just land attack cruise missiles seem to have this problem.

Connection interrupted during multiplayer, anyone know the cause?

 

At first I thought it was a problem with my connection or a file integrity check problem, but using a clean install and connection has no problems. Happens randomly on various servers at different times.

 

In most instances can only stay on a server for 1 to 2 mins before getting the " connection interrupted" error.

 

Latest DCS version available btw.

bought my beta copy today you can only fly in instant action so when i fly I have no cockpit at all any clues on how to fix or should i reinstall with torrent??

If you're having pit troubles, reinstall. Ironroad, have you tried the new 310 beta drivers? Also, when you install allow the installer to install the newest files from Microsoft.

Hi Rugg i did try a reinstall however it said could not install to DCS because it was a newer install of 7204 i have 7122 how do i get the update??

Completely remove the sim and reinstall. Don't install over the existing. Also, remove the DCS folder in X:/Users/Account Name/Saved Games

Thanks Rugg before i do that i am showing only 7122 in the downloads section from DCS I should be downloading 7024 how do i fix that so i have the correct one working many thanks for the help!

Just reinstall whatever version you can get. It sounds to me you had something go wrong w/your install.
