Mike1 Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Hi everyone, Thought I'd post some examples of my handiwork, all in 1/72 scale: Mitsubishi A6M2 Model 21, Hasegawa kit: Curtiss P-40B Warhawk, new tool Airfix kit: Lockheed Hudson Mk IV, Italeri/MPM kit (this was a pig to build!): Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk IV, Tamiya Mk I conversion: and Brewster B339D, Hasegawa kit: Finally here's something nautical: HMS Fury, F class destroyer built from the Tamiya 1/700 E Class kit. Mike.
B52STRATO Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 1/72... probably the best scale ever. I vote for the Warhawk as the first one.
Vavavava Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Very nice work..the P-40 is really nice, i would like to add that trimming a bit the weels will make the model look more heavy so more realistic ,and i would like to ask how you manage to keep the canopy so clean and the supports on it so steadily painted, i used many products but non gave the desired result..thank you for posting these pics..and again really really nice work
Mike1 Posted November 25, 2012 Author Posted November 25, 2012 Thanks guys! Vava, I used Eduard's canopy masks on all of them except the Spit. I'd thoroughly recommend using them if your able to source them locally. They make things much easier, especially with "greenhouse" canopies like on the Zero and the Buffalo. johnleee Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 Here's a PDF of the civilian aviation books that I've got. I'll update it whenever I get a new one
