amariani Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Take a look at the roundel...is there any way to fix this? Here's the entry in the decal.ini: [Decal005] MeshName=Fuselage_P DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Spitfire_RAF_Early/RAF_Type_C1 Position=-2.99,0.05 Rotation=0.0 Scale=1.0 DecalMaxLOD=4 Quote
+RAVEN Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Looks like a 3dMax fix, extra faces in the mesh, Who's model is it? Quote
amariani Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 That's ndicki's Spitfire F.MkIXc, early production, MEF mod for stock TW Spitfire Mk. IXc. Quote
+RAVEN Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Try Adding the roundel decal entry to the mesh that the letter "B" is on at: [Decal00X] MeshName= (Letter B mesh) DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=Spitfire_RAF_Early/RAF_Type_C1 Position=-2.99,0.05 Rotation=0.0 Scale=1.0 DecalMaxLOD=4 Quote
+Wrench Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) try adding a statement, with the same coordinates for "tail" mesh Edited January 10, 2013 by Wrench Quote
amariani Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 Just checked other mods from ndicki and this is only happening to the MEF and NWE mods. No problems found on the Seafire MkIII, Spitfire Mk. Vb, VIIIc or PR Mk. XI as seen below. Also, already tried Wrench's suggestion and didn't work. Quote
+RAVEN Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) I justed checked the Decals.ini from the skin (spitfire9c_earlyMEF) and the correct statment entries are there. But these .tga names might be to much alike' RAF_Type_C.tga RAF_Type_C1.tga and there in this order of loading. So name change on one of them maybe ?? Edited January 11, 2013 by RAVEN Quote

+russouk2004 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 As Raven correctly suggests its double faces on the mesh or overlapping meshes...probably the extra faces...can only correct in max only thing u can do is paint roundel on and use tga for just numbers? Quote
+Wrench Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 (edited) out of curiosity, amariani, what patch level are you on? I seem to (vaguely) recally there being a decal issue on the Spits about this time last year, that one or another of the later patchs may have fixed. as you can see below, 4 different decals on 2 different meshs work fine! (had to make a couple of new ones to replace the old style Let/Let/Roundel, and add the Sky fues band) oh, and fixed the pilot so his shoulder don't stick out the right canopy rail Edited January 11, 2013 by Wrench Quote
