January is definitely too long. How could they make the month after Xmas 31 days long?!?

The money is out since Xmas, the winter grey seems even worse, and everyone is either

still Xhausted, or out jogging the weight off.

Only the devs have their warm little rooms, in which they sit over WOFF and forget the

rest of the world. Or so it seems...

......

See then tumbling down!

Pledging their love to the ground!

Lonely but free I'll be found,

Drifting along with a tumbling tumbleweed!

Don't know abt too long,

I just wish the floods and bushfires and heatwaves

would go away (fat chance  ).

There is quite a lot to be said in favour of "temporate" climes.

And RogerSmith, good luck to you, sir. Hope all goes well.

Sid, I see it in the news every evening.

First the immense fires, and now the devastating floodings.

We seem to get this regularly now, even here in Germany we had such high water lines, that

the river dams partly broke and land was flooded. We may have to build houses on poles in

future, and we may need very strong beliefs or will, to clean and build up after each disaster.

Hi Olham,

it's been a shocker lately.

Yes, the material damage is severe,

but it is the loss of lives that really hits

home.

I'm with you on the increasing frequency

of these "extreme" events. If it continues

like this we will indeed be living in interesting

times.

All the best.
