Sukhoi Su-17/22M4 Fitter K

I started this work some years ago. Armourdave made a great job.

My upgrades are fixing some (old) bugs and adding new skins + decals,

waiting for the promised extensive upgrades.

My start is from Eburger68 last great enhancement and Y.Gordon's bible.

What's in:

SU-17M4 (8 skins)

- Radar now works

- Camo 1/2/3 wing paint fixed - other things tweaked

- Navy, 2 German based, 1 Guards, 1 recon Skins added

- Decals tweaked and changed

- Silver one removed as I did not found any

SU-22M4 (16 skins)

- 4 PWL + historical decals

- 4 original Soulfreak German skins + new decals

- 2 IRAQI (1 old & 1 new)

- 2 Aghani (1 old & 1 new) + historical decals

- 1 CVL + historical decals

- 1 BVVS + historical decals

- 1 Angola + historical decals

- 1 VPAF + historical decals

Some new screens for both, decals randomizers etc.

Needed sound, pilot & weapons included.

Some more drop tanks too if You want to build a specific nation plane install.

Credits:

- Armoudave for the original model

- Eburger68 for upgrades

- soulfreak for SF1 German skins

- Y.Gordon for serials & references

Install:

- All in main mod folder

I realy hope that they will be useful for all our scenarios: NATO, SWEDEN, ODS, IRAN/IRAQ, VIETNAM etc. etc.

Enjoy

@paulopanz

PS: if someone (*) was able to remove the tail intake from the vert fin I have re-made the Su-17/22M3 too .....

You should credit Marcelo too. He did the Tiger skin (with a wrong Number) and the other special painted SU-22.

I'm sorry I was sure that those skins were yours ....... :bye:

Yes indeed it will.

As soon as I get home, I'll be dropping this bad boy into all of the appropriate campaign_data.ini's.

Thanks. Been looking forward to this one.

will send you later the meshname of the intake so you can remove it an create the m3 version

The tail should be only one piece mesh .... sadly.

I think it can removed only from the 3D source, but I hope You can do the job.

An alternative could be deleting the entire vertail and making a new one as fake pilot without the air intake.

The big issue is that you lost the rudder movement....

I have no problem to share it with the comunity, i just don´t see the point of doing it right now.

I wanted to simply show the result of what i was talking before.

By the way, if someone is interested, i have that darker skin almost ready (simply a color change of existing skins). Perhaps could be used with the new m3 you are doing. As you wish...

Your result looks good, that is no question, but as lucky we are, I will send the model with the "right" vertail to paulo so he can paint it till the new ones will come ;)

the whole comunity will benefit from this project

I'm sharpening my pencils .... my hope is You could save the original mapping.
