Ngr Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) i think that aircraft is to short (nose and tail) and it look fat... but iskra is very slim plane Edited March 21, 2013 by czarny900 Quote
+Kulbit80 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I'm afraid you're right but we have what we got. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) Veltro has the corefile so I dont see here the prob ;) Its not easy to get the proportions right, depents on what sources you are working with Edited March 21, 2013 by 76.IAP-Blackbird Quote
Ngr Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Veltro has the corefile so I dont see here the prob ;) Its not easy to get the proportions right, depents on what sources you are working with first model of TS-11 http://combatace.com/files/file/13282-pzl-ts-11-iskra-by-veltro2k/ is much better Quote
+Stary Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 it's really something wrong with the shape... looks like the Y-axis dimensions of 3-view in Max were set wrongly (did the same for my unfinished Mig-9) and as three says something is wrong with it, it must be true Quote
+paulopanz Posted March 21, 2013 Author Posted March 21, 2013 Well, Gents, I'm sorry about that, but all what I can say is that if Veltro will decide to verify and change the plane measures I'll reskin it ..... for the third time .... Quote
+Veltro2k Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) Crew: Two - student and instructor Length: 11.15 m (36 ft 7 in) Wingspan: 10.06 m (33 ft 0 in) Height: 3.50 m (11 ft 5½ in) Edited March 21, 2013 by Veltro2k Quote
+Stary Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 it's the height then, check it Ed, will you? IF it's just one axis set wrong, rescaling wouldn't be that big of a problem, moving parts like gear aside (as in don't touch them) yes, after re-checking I think Z-axis is wrong... Quote
Wraith27 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Crew: Two - student and instructor Length: 11.15 m (36 ft 7 in) Wingspan: 10.06 m (33 ft 0 in) Height: 3.50 m (11 ft 5½ in) Height is wrong - 3.5 m is on the ground - from the ground. The height in the air ( from the bottom of the fuselage to the top of the vertical stabilizer ) is only 3.0 m Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 That rescaling will not affect the mapping so far, the hight is wrong. but hey, nothing big. scale it down its good to go. Quote
+Stary Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 That rescaling will not affect the mapping so far, the hight is wrong. but hey, nothing big. scale it down its good to go. exactly, it's just one axis bit too stretched, as you say it's not that much of work Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 No idea, but I like this small airplane, so I hope to see a corrected version ;) Quote
+Spillone104 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I've done this comparison some weeks ago when Paolo told me of the new iskra. I've kept the vertical tail as scale for both. Quote
+paulopanz Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 better better :D As we need some time to finish up the plane adapting to the new shape the skins, the decals and lights position and the FM, I could try to make PWL historical decal numbers. If only someone could have and send them ........ Quote
+paulopanz Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 Four red digit: from 0101 to 0110 and so on .... is it correct? Quote
