slick cowboy Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Yeah i know, weird titel but this is what happens when I want fly an armed recon mission in the iceland terrain funnier still is that i end up in an A-4 cockpit flying the E-2C while it's not even flyable I extracted the DLC files for the F-4N, but all is normal I sent a mail to support of TW, no answer yet, but maybe it's related to modding? any idea what could be causing this? thanks ok correction... the same happens with a an A-4... it seems that USN and armed recon don't go well together in the Iceland terrain... slick cowboy Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 and USAF do get armed recon missions... something must define this, right? Can't find anything in the terrain ini file though Quote
jeanba Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I think supgen made a correction for this : http://combatace.com/files/file/14024-airstrikes-on-land-targets-in-sf2na/ Quote
slick cowboy Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 it's not about not getting the mission, it's about getting to fly an E-2C when selecting an armed record on a USN aircraft Quote
macelena Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 So you select the DLC F-4N for an armed recon mission...and spawn in an E-2C? Now that´s weird Quote
slick cowboy Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 yup, super weird but it also happens when any USN aircraft doing an armed recon on the iceland terrain usaf works with armed recon though... i'm not sure if it's related to the F-4N, but i noticed it right after I installed the DLC... i checked the stock Iceland ini file and armed recon is not in the allowed missions... so perhaps that has something to do with it Quote
+MigBuster Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I dont get armed recon for any aircraft in SF2NA which is on the latest patch - even though most of the jets support it - so was this removed? I seem to remember taking out some tanks - maybe thats just the campaign. Its only merged with SF2E and Exp2 for me though. To see if a mod is causing it you can cut and paste the mod folder out to a safe location. Quote
slick cowboy Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 got a reply from TW support, Iceland terrain is not supposed to have armed_recon so it shouldn't be in the allowed mission in the terrain's ini file Quote
