Dysko 93 Posted June 11, 2013 Hi, this sunday I went with Spillone104 at an airshow on the airport of the city of Parma, famous for its cheeses and hams, and for giving birth to the composer Giuseppe Verdi. Unfortunately there was extremely bad weather (there was even a thunderstorm just before the show), but the display line should have been backlit, so the bad weather somewhat helped. This CAP 10 of the local flying club unofficially opened the show This AB-212 of the state police made one last pass in order to ensure everything was ok This Agusta-Sikorsky HH-3F Pelican of the 15° Stormo (Wing) of the Italian Air Force, specialized in SAR and Combat SAR, officially opens the show with the Flag Pass SAR demo One of the highlights of the show: a recently restored Aermacchi MB.326 trainer, the only one of its kind flying in Europe. The MB.326 has been one of the most successful Italian military programs, exported in many countries such as Australia, Brazil and South Africa. It is the "father" of the MB.339 used by the Frecce Tricolori, and the airline Alitalia used to have 4 MB.326 to train its pilots. Aerobatic planes displays: Zlin 50 Pitts Special Yakovlev Yak-50 flown by Sergio Dallan, 23 times Italian champion in the unlimited class and considered to be in the top 10 of the best aerobaric pilots in the world. Another Zlin 50 SIAI-Marchetti SF.260, the most successful Italian general aviation plane, and used as a basic trainer by many air forces throughout the world CAP 232 flown by Rudy Natale, leader of the Italian civilian aerobatic team Another highlithg, the Fiat G.59. The G.59 was the second airplane built in Italy after WW2 (the first one being the general aviation plane Macchi MB.308). It was based upon the fighter Fiat G.55 Centauro, but, due to lack of Italian-built engines, it was powered by nonetheless than the Rolls-Royce Merlin! What a sound! The Italian Air Force comes back, this time with 3 airplanes from the Reparto Sperimentale Volo (Flight Test Wing). The first one is the AMX: Then a Panavia Tornado IDS, coming in at very high speed with full AB! And finally the best the Italian Air Force can offer, the Eurofighter Typhoon! I didn't take any photo of the Frecce Tricolori that closed the show, I already saw them a lot of times and we preferred to get back to the car to avoid the traffic jam.
