JakeGrafton Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Hello, Could someone point me out the way to remove the Loading Screen sounds? Here is what I have tried; - Extracting the FLIGHTENGINE.INI to the C:\Progra...\Flight path and removing the "loading.wav" from the StreamAudio= line. - Putting in another loading.wav in to the C:\Progra...\Flight path - Checked many (all?) of the CAT files for the loading.wav sound. Any suggestions? Thanks!! - Jake
russouk2004 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 The wav and inis are in menudata cat I believe...you would need to make a wav thats silent or muted and point the ini to it,and drop the wav in correct folder...either menu folder or whatever..
Wrench Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 that would be my suggestion -- an "empty" wav dropped into the Menu or Flight folders (can't remember which exactly.) the game ALWAYS looks in folders first for which/what ever files it needs, and uses those over what's stored in the cats.
CrazyhorseB34 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 What Wrench said! An improperly formatted WAV will work also. Tried to use a Tokyo Rose clip in my WW2 Pacific install. It was messed up now I use it as my "dummy" sound.
hi ho silver Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 That's Easy..in the flight folder look for flightengine [LoadingScreen] BackgroundImage=LoadingScreen1.JPG BackgroundImageSize=1024,768 TextFontName=Arial TextSize=20 TextFontColor=250,250,250 TextFile=LoadingText.str LoadingTextStringID=TXT_FLT_LOADING PercentTextStringID=TXT_FLT_LOADING_PERCENT ProgressBarRange=100 ProgressBarRect=204,733,820,753 StreamAudio=/////loading.wav
JakeGrafton Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Thanks all! Where should I be placing that FLIGHTENGINE.INI file? I put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2\Flight\, but no changes are reflexed in the game. - Jake
JakeGrafton Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 Figured it out -- I'm supposed to create a Flight folder in my C:\Users\username\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 folder. Thanks again all! - Jake
