Antares81 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Thanks a lot ... If I send you my files of Blue prints , photos and PDF manuals can you build others carriers ? I want to help you Thanks and regards Quote
Eole Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Thanks a lot too, just want to know if there is a way to have a version of your nice boat without the static Rafale M parked cause I have a full merged installation with SF2 NA included so I would use the auto park ability instead. Thank in advance for your answer :) 1 Quote
KJakker Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Good to see a properly modeled Charle de Gaulle class carrier. However it needs its own custom data file and its proper weapons fit. I would be willing to work with you to improve the game play effectiveness of this ship. Edit: The OUT file is near useless for building a proper DATA file. All of the mesh names just have generic names like Box01 or Cylinder29. They should identify what part of the ship they are. For example, Island, radar_mast, starboard_elevator, Forward_ VLS, etc. Edited October 18, 2013 by KJakker Quote
Wrench Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) it's DEFINATELY not SF2/NA ready. missing all the proper MissionData and GroundObjectData usage statemens, names list (required even for 1 ship classes), radar statements, parking slots, collision lod,. I haven't looked at the weapons fit, but if KJakker says it's off...well... The built-in parked airplanes have to go...so the game can generate the proper nation-specific parked birds other than that, it's nice looking, and nice to have a proper ship. +eburger68 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Folks: If you look the SF2NA Carriers pack released earlier this year, you'll find SF2NA-ready INIs for this ship. In fact, based on file size, it appears to be the same model (or very nearly the same). If the author has indeed made changes to the model in this update, it would be nice to know what those are. The OUT file included here is the same as with the previous release (and the one found in the SF2NA carriers pack). Alas, there is no ReadMe here, so one can only guess. Eric Howes Quote
Wrench Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 yah, it WOULD have been nice to have a read me ... that IS a requirement Quote
+WhiteBoySamurai Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I really hate to criticize, but I wouldn't even say this model is game-ready at all, much less SF2-ready. It's 300,000 polygons and doesn't look it; no labeling or hierarchy of components. A good start would be to remove the parked aircraft like Wrench said. Then get rid of the terrible railings to save another 64000 polygons or so. Quote
