What makes a Target selectable?

Recommended Posts

Added a small Target to the Germany Terrain and while it appears in game it doesn't Show up in the ME as selectable target.

Here is what i added to the Germany Targets.ini entry:

[TargetArea335]
Name=Brocken
Position=486216,564151
Radius=500
ActiveDate=01/01/0001
Location=1
Alignment=ENEMY
Target[001].Type=Tower4
Target[001].Offset=0.0
Target[001].Heading=90
Target[002].Type=radardome
Target[002].Offset=55,63
Target[002].Heading=90
Target[003].Type=radardome
Target[003].Offset=84,-111
Target[003].Heading=0

And what does the Location entry stand for?

For the map location meaning the exact area on that specific terrain. You can find that information in the nations.ini file.  For example. in SF2E, the GermanyCE terrain contains the following locations:

1. West Germany

2: East Germany

3. Poland

4: Czechoslovakia

5. Austria

6..East Berlin

7. Netherlands

8  France

9  Belgium

10.Denmark

11 Luxembourg

12.West Berlin

So you essentially told the system that you placed that target in West Germany, which may be at odds with the coordinates you specified.

Now i have a different problem.

I created a concrete plate and it can be selected as target.

But it shouldn't.
