Skyviper 1,101 Posted February 23, 2014 I'm trying to twek some files .... adding weapons to the star lifter ... making it so the C-130 can have backup ... or make it impossible for it to get targeted kind of thing ... I did add five Daisy Cutters to the Starlifter though (I'm not sure if that's accurate or not but its a lot of fun)... gotta figure out how to place those 40 paratroopers on it next... Anyway I came across this in the options file for SF2E. [MultiplayerOptions]LobbyLaunched=FALSE and this [Multiplayer]Connection=0PlayerColor=0SessionType=0GameType=0Password=MyPasswordMaxPlayers=8IPAddress=[deleted] and this [CoopMission]MissionMap=GermanyCEMissionDate=06/18/1978ContrailAlt=7000.000000Service1=USAFService2=SOVIETMission1=SWEEPAircraftType1=F-15AAircraftType2=F-15AAircraftType3=MiG-23MFAircraftType4=MiG-23MFScreenshotsDelay=60StartYear=0EndYear=0WeatherType=SCATTERED Just has me thinking if the gap in the bridge can be patched ... Skyviper 1,101 Posted February 24, 2014 Well shit they should've added it to SF2. I wonder though can that code by messed with to make a multiplayer? Hell people are making Fallout 3 multiplayer ... but then again there are tons more people playing that game that SF2 ... so yeah. It'd still be neat though. Think about it. Flying around lazing targets for someone flying the B1 blowing up stuff ... shooting down stuff. I guess there is a good reason why it wasn't implemented. Fubar512 1,350 Posted February 24, 2014 This has been discussed many times before. Thirdwire's hand was forced by Microsoft, who did not include DirectPlay in Windows 7 and 8. SF1 used DirectPlay. To recode the 2nd series to use another multiplayer API would have been prohibitively expensive.
