I just flew a strike mission in Heavy Soviet bomber (first one ever). At 22,000 ft, 10 miles, I ordered my wingman to attack the primary, and I looked back to see him begin to descend, while I flew on at altitude. I released 4 3000lb at 5-6 miles out, wingman called bombs away with 1 or 2 seconds, so I thought, "well maybe I might get a hit on something, but probably not."

At about 4 seconds there's an explosion, and with Phantoms around, maybe he took a hit. "

"Kingfish Lead, cease fire, we have reports of friendly fire in the area!"

Outside view shows my wingman on fire missing his left wing....

I continue on to see my bombs, or maybe his, impact within a few hundred yards of the Hanger target.

Since it was witnessed, it'll have to be reported, and I'll I have to visit the family.

I've seen those pictures too, I've just never had it happen in any other simulation before.
