+Coupi Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) Hello, Simple Hawk 'pit' proposal... from the Thirdwire Harrier cockpit! In order to delete the frame front elements. I you have the SF2 Europe you need extracting the cockpit.ini file and just add these red lines: [CockpitSeat001]ModelName=Harrier1_pit.LODOffset=0.00,-0.15,-0.00Position=0.0,2.634,0.375ViewAngles=0.0,-2.5,0.0... ... ...Instrument[031]=Reflection2Instrument[032]=FuelFlowCounterInstrument[033]=RPM_smallInstrument[034]=Delete1 [Delete1]Type=ACCELEROMETERNodeName=frame_frontMovementType=LightSet[01].Position=0.0Set[01].Value=-20.0Set[02].Position=0.0Set[02].Value=20.0 Coupi Edited September 27, 2014 by Coupi 2 Quote
Happy308 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Hello Coupi, how did you discover the nodename "frame_front" ? I would like to apply your trick to create a cockpit for the F-5 from a A-4E or F-100D Pit. But the nodenames are unknown to me. Quote
+Coupi Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 @ Happy308,... I'm using HxD programme in order to open the LOD files. However, you can use Lod OUT file if the mod has it. I've found the Thirdwire LODs from 1st gen games and the first 2nd gen games when we could extract them with the TK Tools from the DataObjects. Otherwise an other idea if you have Wings over Europe (1st gen) after AV-8A files extracting: [CockpitSeat001]ModelName=AV-8A_cockpit.LODOffset=0.00,-0.10,-0.00Position=0.0,2.634,0.375ViewAngles=0.0,-2.5,0.0MaxYaw=155MinYaw=-155MaxPitch=90MinPitchFront=-45.........Instrument[038]=Reflection2Instrument[039]=Delete1Instrument[040]=Delete2Instrument[041]=Delete3 [Delete1]Type=ACCELEROMETERNodeName=gauge_nozzleMovementType=LightSet[01].Position=0.0Set[01].Value=-20.0Set[02].Position=0.0Set[02].Value=20.0 [Delete2]Type=ACCELEROMETERNodeName=frame_frontMovementType=LightSet[01].Position=0.0Set[01].Value=-20.0Set[02].Position=0.0Set[02].Value=20.0 [Delete3]Type=ACCELEROMETERNodeName=indexer_lightsMovementType=LightSet[01].Position=0.0Set[01].Value=-20.0Set[02].Position=0.0Set[02].Value=20.0 Coupi. 1 Quote
Do335 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) hi coupi, you can just use "type=inactive nodename=xxxx" http://combatace.com/topic/76007-avionic-help-chengdu-j-7iii/?p=605267 Edited September 27, 2014 by Do335 1 Quote
Wrench Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Happy, if you do that to the Skyhawk cockpit, you'll leave a "hole" where the windscreen frame was. That part is 'cut', with the glass placed around it. Found that out ages ago, in 1stGens, so that trick won't work that specific pit Quote

It is from this thread http://combatace.com/topic/63496-j-35-draken-sfp1-cockpit-wip/ They made a work arround by using '' "opaque/see through frames" as a compromise." I opend up a SF1 A-4 pit lod with notepad, and found a bunch of Node's But not one of them made the front struts disappear. This is what I found: cockpit_P cowl inner cowl rail instument panel radar housing radar_screen minipanels detail002 details003 Details004 gau_alttitude needle_alt alt_dig1 alt_dig2 alt_dig3 gau_compass HSI_wheel HSI_CourseArrow HSI_HeadingMarker HSI_pointer gau_rwr RWRscreen gau_accelerometer needle_accel gauges_ADI ADI_cross turnsphere details001 warning_light_caution warning_light_overheat warning_light_fire ADI sphere ecm_switch ecm_light gau_aoa gau_turn needle_speedometer indexer_on_speed labs_dig1 labs_dig2 labs_dig3 gau_labs needle_RPM gau_RPM*TEMP screws gau_radar altitude needle_climb ecm gau_oilpres needle_oil_pres gau_machmeter gau_fuel mach wheel gau_vsi needle_turn needle_fuelflow1 mach wheel01 needle_radalt turnsphere01 canopy_frame canopy frame rear mirror_frame_left mirror_frame_right canopy glas rear canopy glas front mirror_right mirror_left sight gun sight panel sightglass lens sides HUDtop HUDbottom HUDGlas Centurion-1 and sophocles are both making a F-5 variant including a cockpit, so I'll wait patiantly for them to release them one day. I the mean time there are lots of other nice planes to fly. Coupi and Wrench thanks for the explanations. Edited September 28, 2014 by Happy308 1 Quote
