windows 8 and Wings over Europe

Are any of you guys running Wings over Europe and Windows 8. If so does it work okay as I can't get the game to play when I click on 'FLY' to start the mission. The game just crashes to Desktop!!!

 

Had a go at adjusting the Graphics settings but no joy!

 

Already looked in the Knowledge Base, cant see anything about it!

 

Any advice \ help would be most welcome!

At a guess it needs tweaks similar to 7 - I haven't tried it on 10 yet

 

Patch it to 2008

 

Have you installed the DX9 runtimes?

 

Is this just to run multiplayer?

and DO NOT install to the default /C:ProgramFiles location.

 

Install to the ROOT of the C/ (meaning: C:/Wing over Europe)
