Fubar512 Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 The 77 year-old mystery may soon be solved, as authorities announced that they have "with a high degree of certainty" found wreckage from Amelia Earhart's Lockheed Electra, on Nikumororo atoll. http://news.discovery.com/history/us-history/aluminum-fragment-appears-to-belong-to-earharts-plane-141028.htm http://news.discovery.com/history/us-history/amelia-earhart-resting-place.htm Quote
JediMaster Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I always figured this was one of those "only unexplained because enough evidence and forensic work hadn't been completed" deals. The fact that they found this piece in 1991 but only verified it in 2014 is pretty much all you need to know. Quote
