71 Years Ago Today

Recommended Posts

The invasion of Europe began when the allied forces under the command of Gen Dwight D. Eisenhower launched Operation Overlord.

2 quotes from "The Longest Day" that sum up D-Day quite well.

"You remember it. Remember every bit of it, 'cause we are on the eve of a day that people are going to talk about long after we are dead and gone."

"You can't give the enemy a break. Send him to hell."
