Ace Combat 7 announced!

Anyone who is a fan of the Ace Combat series will likely know this, but... Ace Combat 7 has finally been announced!

So far, it's confirmed to take place in Strangereal (in the trailer, an Osean F-22A is seen chasing a couple Erusean Su-30Ms), and it's also confirmed to be at least on PS4, and be compatible with PS VR.

I just thought I should post this. Ace Combat is the most famous flight "sim" on consoles, so I guess it has it's little place here.

Thanks for sharing.  Based on that preview, I'm not sure how I feel about this.  The capture makes it look kind of like Assault Horizon, and I felt that one was terrible.  BUT!  I will reserve any actual judgement until more info becomes available.

Thanks for posting, Ace Combat is my favourite game series. Just days ago I was looking for any info about AC7, looks like I had to wait a little longer.

 

Assault Horizon was a bad spin-off, this one will be more like Ace Combat Infinity, that means classic AC dogfighting and no more on rails sections. I hope it will make it to PC too, but it's unlikely to happen I guess.

 

So, Osea vs. Erusea? Cool but rather strange. It seems Mobius One couldn't stop the Eruseans for good!

 

EDIT:  I've just seen the trailer. If you listen closely at beginning you can hear a remixed version of the track "15 Years Ago" of Ace Combat 5.

It shouldn't. According to Ace Combat Wikia, Ace Combat 7 (as the name/number implies) is the direct sequel of the main series, not a bad spin-off like Assault Horizon was.
