Spudknocker Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Hey CA! Does anyone know how to adjust a nations pilot training level by terrain? Specifically I was hoping to make the IRIAF and IqAF skill levels higher but specifically for the IR terrain to get more interesting dogfights past the merge, while keeping them a lower skill level for other terrains IE IR2003 and Desert Storm. Ive looked around and the only thing I tried led to a single mission crash everytime... any ideas?
Wrench Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 maybe in 1st Gens, when each nation had the full entry ala the main Nations.ini, but I doubt in SF2. There, the terrain's nation ini mostly exists as a list for the Limited Nations = TRUE statement. Each nation listed would use the training standards set in the games main nations ini. OTH, you could try adding each individual nation TO the terrain specific nation's list, and edit from there...it's never been tried before. But in theory, it might work like so: [Theater]TheaterName=Somewhere Over Iran and IraqLocation001=IranLocation002=IraqLocation003=KuwaitLocation004=Neutral TerritoryLocation005=Saudi ArabiaLocation006=BahrainLocation007=QatarLocation008=Persian Gulf [LimitedNationList]FriendlyNation001=IraqFriendlyNation002=Saudi ArabiaFriendlyNation003=KuwaitFriendlyNation004=BahrainFriendlyNation005=QatarFriendlyNation006=USAFFriendlyNation007=USMCFriendlyNation008=FRANCEFriendlyNation009=USNFriendlyNation010=WGERMANYFriendlyNation011=RAFFriendlyNation012=ROYALNAVYFriendlyNation013=NorwayFriendlyNation014=FinlandFriendlyNation015=TurkeyFriendlyNation016=GreeceFriendlyNation017=ItalyFriendlyNation018=SwedenFriendlyNation019=CanadaFriendlyNation020=BelgiumFriendlyNation021=NetherlandsEnemyNation001=Iran [Nation033]Name=IranDisplayName=Islamic Republic of Iran Air ForceAlignment=FRIENDLYPilotNameList=NamesArabic.lstRankList=RanksUSAF.lstCallsignList=CallsignsUS.lstFormation.Fighter=USFighterFormation.Attack=USFighterFormation.Bomber=USBomberFormation.Transport=USBomberFormation.Tank=USTankFormation.MobileAD=USADPilotTrainingStandard=NORMALGenderRatio=0DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wavDebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wavDebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wavSpeechFile=USAFSpeech.catSpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.strActiveDate=1979AlternateDecal=Iran_OLD25 one can only try and test.
