Fubar512 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Presently, It is possible, if you know what you're doing. While it was once a simple install process in WinXP (back when SF2, SF2V, SF2E, and SF2I were first released), SF2NA and the followup patches sort of porked that process. To really get the most out of those DX10 titles, you really need Windows Vista, 7, or 8. Quote
hawker111 Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 If I install these sims they will run? Quote
Wrench Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 yes. however...you may experience problems with NA and they will only run in dx9, so you'll be losing out on a lot of visuals that use the dx10 shaders Quote
Snailman Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) The only problematic is SF2 NA, which - by default - needs DirX10. For running NA in Dirx9 you need to replace the SF2 NA EXE program file with any of the non-NA exe (Europe, SF2 etc) and create the ini of the same name. Then it will create the mod folder. Then you need the Dirx9 version of the IcelandNA map and all will be fine. Detailed intructions .. I can write later, im at work at the moment. All in all possible and runs well. EDIT, but yes as Wrench has wrote, it does not look very well ( On my older notebook it looked like this Edited January 29, 2016 by Snailman Quote
