Argentina is in talks to acquire these SEM.
and modernize and finish ours they are newer.
They have much remaining life. almost 10 or 15 more years of cell.

Since Argentina occasionally operates at sea with the Brazilians I dare say there will probably be some Sea life left for the type... still served the French well for a bloody long time.

French Sem are with their structures out, ready for retirement

They have more than 8,000 landings.

Argentines have hardly 1500 or less

What the Argentina Navy is looking for, equipment, electronics.

Fair point, so that was the last ever bridle launch as well then?

Yes you're right , the total retirement of the SEM will be planned for 2017 , the 17F Flotilla following the 12 & 14F, is now making is operational conversion to the Rafale M (standard F3)

Actually just had a thought, wont quite be the last bridle launch. Whether the Argentine birds go to sea again or not Brazil's A-4's and S-2's will still be using bridles for a while.
