+GKABS 8,791 Posted April 15, 2020 (edited) OK, I just created this model as a starting point for the hangar for testing please can someone test and see if this a good size for the B-52 before I go deeper. I would like to make it look like this one. the dimension is: X=60.8 Y=56.0 Z=23.9 GK B52 Hangar.zip Edited April 15, 2020 by GKABS
xrearl 27 Posted April 15, 2020 I'm not a good candidate for testing, but you work is outstanding
Wrench 9,856 Posted April 15, 2020 Since I started this mess, I'm MORE than happy to place on a terrain and see how it fits!! That was really fast! Thanks!!!
Wrench 9,856 Posted April 15, 2020 well, it's a bit on the small side. I mean, I know it's first go around.... C-5 galaxy convention courtesy of my upping the parking change percentage the stary hangar 6 on the left is 32x32 m the stock hangar 3 on the right is 72x72 so, this needs to be 120m by (at least) 90 and the finished unit must be mapped internally and externally, so you can't see through the walls from the inside. thank you brother GKabs!! +GKABS 8,791 Posted April 16, 2020 Thanks, Bob for your feedback, I just completed the hangar, now I am going to make the UVW and then the skin I will try to make it completed by tomorrow.
+GKABS 8,791 Posted April 16, 2020 Ok, I think it is completed but I was thinking of adding offices inside the hangar to both sides what do you think? this is a massive hangar 5

Wrench 9,856 Posted April 16, 2020 yah, maybe add the offices tucked up against the side wall (i guess?) most of the floor space should be clear

+daddyairplanes 10,252 Posted April 17, 2020 office spaces look good. a typical environment for this in the US military (Army experience, but the USAF spends similar) is closer to cheap office cubicle than to anything from a movie, video game or the shopping mall above. the outsides are generally extremely boring too, unless the local commander approves some artistic renditions of unit logos. To that end, i'd suggest a Triangle K, as the 379th is now the Expiditionary Wing that handles bombers in CENTCOM. as such theyve been zapping (putting a small decal on) the bombers that pass thru. but bigger than 6 inches maybe on doors, maybe inside, maybe not at all. just some info for you show some 12 year old computers that just got upgraded to Win7 a year ago (yes in 2020), a vending machine and smoke pit outside and its perfect as is tho
Wrench 9,856 Posted April 17, 2020 remember, the hangar is generic -- to be used by both sides, OTH, it's easy to paint a logo out (done if before!)
