+daddyairplanes Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 that was a final missed oppurtunity. the -22 better fit the requirements of the competition, the -23 better fit the wars of teh last 20 years, as well as the pivot to China.
+daddyairplanes Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 just had a thought on this, given its low observable features and McDonnell Douglas' past with supernatural names (especially for naval fighters) Spectre would have been a good name for this had it gone forward (USAF gunships be damned!)
