+streakeagle 867 Posted March 2, 2022 Flyable aircraft do not land in enemy territory. They were hit. They landed immediately. They were shot down. Presumably the only reason they made it to the ground without crashing is because of the redundancy. But most certainly, some indication such as hydraulic pressure, fuel gauge, engine temp, etc. told them it was time to land... which is far safer than any ejection. WitchyWoman 47 Posted March 4, 2022 Soviet doctrines always been that single units cant act alone, often platoons of tanks have to fire on same targets, same with aircraft.
