WW3 aviation tactics/roles over Germany book?

Anyone can recommend a book or books dealing with intended aviation tactics and roles for WW3 over Europe? Not novels, but a book explaining what will happen If Cold War ever got Hot over Germany. I remember seeing one of those big illustrated books, but cannot remember the title anymore. Hope any of you can recommend a good book, sometimes I cannot separate my memories from imagination.

Sounds like one of the books of Bill Gunston.

Can be the Modern Air Combat one but IIRC there's a big part dealing with bombing tactics like dive toss and nuke delivery...

If you want to learn more about eastern combat helicopter doctrine you could look in my book "Mi-24". The basic tactics of attack planes were more or less similar. Only the weapon delivery was different.

"The Third World War" by John Hackett, This book is a classic that explores what might have happened if the Cold War had escalated into all-out war.

Hi there, now  you've sparked my interest. Any link to sources? 

And while we're talking, you don't happen to have the soviet recommendations of helicopter operations for Afganistan? Know only  that some kind of manual existed based on operational expiriences and shared among the warshaw pact members.
