I’ve been on a WOFF break for a few years since retirement. Just got everything up and running with OTT. WOW! This is fantastic. One question. What key turns on the update thing at the top of the screen which tells you if your bleeding out, engine is bonkers or you have overstressed your craft.

I think the command you're looking for is (Choose tactical display mode - T)

BTW I'm trying to cycle, in external view, between friendly aircraft? I want to check out the Jasta skins I'm making, in Campaign, not one by one in Quick Combat.

I've tried with Shift+Tab = Next Friendly but nothing happened.

Elephant you need to have the TAC up at least once for any of that enemy view stuff to work.  When it's visible best to change its view to "aircraft" will help.  Then try Shift+Tab
You can turn TAC off once you use it briefly and it still works then.
