I found a similar photo on this site for a F105 Thunderchief Drop Tank fins, however, I've been told it could be something related to windmills. No one's seen one and the speculation is taunting. There's serial numbers (aluminum stamps?) On all pieces. Any information pertaining to possibilities would be amazing!

Thanks!

It will only let me upload 1 photo, unsure how to decrease the size before upload.

have you googled the serial numbers?

also while youre discussing F-105, is it possibly from a F-84 instead?

finally, a little more detail on where found, when etc would help

edit: damn slow site, RC beat me to commenting, and id go with his assessment

I believe so, looks identical except the green attachment piece that seems to be installed on this. Has anyone seen blueprints for the tank? I've had no luck, however, there looks to be a sleek  cover that would explain the extra machined holes. Mine also has 4 holes instead of the pictured 6.

The serial numbers showed different aluminum types. They match on the green and fins.

Thanks yall! This has me so intrigued!

Ill have to look into the other. This one has been around here for 40 years or more so fingers crossed it'll have a great story either way! Thanks 😊

i dont have a blue print for it but i have a lot of pictures for 2 different tanks , an early and the late version one , i was searching for a blue print since years and had no luck yet

cover for the early version , looks like the early version used only to fins or they had a option if they used 2 or 3 fins on it

Any idea about the holes on the fins? There's 2 non threaded holes in each one. Just trying to draw what could possibly be a schematic.

I appreciate all the information! I absolutely love this!
