Working on F-16A/B Block 15's of the 35th and 80th Tactical Fighter Squadrons, 8th Tactical Fighter Wing Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea during 1986.

I'm still working on the tail numbers and tweaking the markings. During the 1985/1986 time frame, the 8th TFW changed the wolf head design and location. It was during this time it started to be moved from the fuselage near the canopy to the vertical stab; where it's still located today.

your B models seem off, both in the rescue marks and how far forward the dark grey goes on teh fuselage

check the Viper folder i sent you on the paint. heres a proper era decals, and sample ini to place it. based on a Block 25 but should fit the 15

two seater.7z

at this rate, i'll just let you handle PACAF while i work on the ANG and Europe :lol:

edit: ignore that decal ini. this is the entries for the decals

[Decal011]
MeshName=Fuselage
DecalLevel=0
DecalFacing=Left
FilenameFormat=F-16C_B25/dLW
Position=3.70,0.1150
Scale=3.5
DecalMaxLOD=4

[Decal012]
MeshName=Fuselage
DecalLevel=0
DecalFacing=Right
FilenameFormat=F-16C_B25/dRW
Position=3.60,0.1150
Scale=3.5
DecalMaxLOD=4

filepath is of course up to you, this is for position and scale

Thanks, yep that's one of the markings I was needing to tweak still. I'll take a look at the folder you mentioned.

I think after the 8th, I will look into the 35th....slowly start covering PACAF units.

Thanks for pointing out the grey and the rescue marks. I've made a few changes using your suggestions.

I bet there is something missing from the objects/pilots folder

I guess there is the pylons missing wich are added via fakepilot mthod.

For wich aircraft are those skins (link please)?

These are skins I'm working on currently of the 8th TFW for the F-16A/B Block 15 using the stock F-16.

I must be missing a file or something because I still can't get the pylon figured out. It's there with the fuel tanks but missing when I carry bombs on the station.

there are proper block 15s in house, you dont need to improvise with stock birds and the small tail (amongst other things) is all wrong for a block 15 anyhow

but the pylon issue is curious as i have it when flying a stock-ish A model

Got it figured out, somehow the aircraft folder I had made got corrupted. It's fixed now, still tweaking the skins a bit.

Here's the most recent changes on the Block 10 35th and 80th TFS skins. I've added the old school wolf head, which I like.

I'm sill working on verifying tail numbers for both the Block 10 and 15's of the 8th TFW, and tweaking the wolf head on the Block 15's.

Tweaked the wolf's head on the Block 15 A models, ignore the tail number in this shot as it's not the correct # for a Block 15.

its lookin sharp :drinks:

noticed after teh post, might wann lighten up the tail markings. it should be the opposite grey to the main part

i generally did black, but then reduced opacity to about 55 or so (until it looked good to my eye anyhow)

reducing at least 5-10% will eliminate the white border in game (look at you screenshots a few posts up)

I plan on it when I get everything done. Still tweaking and researching.

Well, after @daddyairplanes pointed out there was a Block 15 Viper available, I realized he was correct! So I just made more work for myself by using the Thirdwire F-16A model....ah well, practice makes perfect!

So I have since started moving everything over to the Team Viper F-16's and I think this mistake of mine might have been for the better.

These are no where near done, still tweaking the textures and decals however progress, even though sometimes backwards is being made! :biggrin:
