visible structural damage

I started an A10 campaign today and went through the briefing etc etc. I created a new pilot in the logbook and hit the fly button to start the mission. I noticed that the pilot I created is not used ?? I'm called Pilot 1 and there's no way of changing this in the briefing screen. Is this right or was creating a new pilot a complete waste of time ? Am I missing something ? The little old manual offers no help.

Also stick to the same airport for a while, get to know the landmarks and use them as guideance.

This sim is looking like an awesome piece of work, I had the Harrier Jump Jet add on for MS combat simulator 2 and enjoyed flying the Harrier immensely, the Harrier was my favourite aircraft as a kid and still is, my interest in aircraft coming from my father who was in the RAF based at RAF Abingdon, Oxfordshire UK in the 50's, like an idiot I lent the harrier disc to a friend and funnily enough I haven't seen the game since !!!! Anyway back to my question...... On the official site it mentions "don't expect to see this sim this year or next" ..... is there a date pencilled in for release yet ????

I come from the UK, who are the badgers ??? A friend of mine nicknamed me badger at work a couple of years ago and he sent me this picture......go badgers. I assume they touchdown too ????

I dunno, it's on the UK line up so maybe sometime soon it will be on in the USA. I looked on the US site and there's no sign of them same programmes, I was only able to look until about 24th Jan, there's no schedule line up after that. It will be advertised if it's on as it's one of their "special" nights. I should also add that I goofed up on my first post, it's on Discovery Wings NOT discovery.

I got Band Of Brothers DVD Box Set, some jeans, some sweatshirts, aftershave x3 and some CD's. I didn't get any games so I got LOMAC for myself !!!

I tried to get a picture of this nice little detail but was unable to, I done several attempts each causing sparks but I didn't press the screenshot button at the right time. It's not hitting the cables that's hard it's just getting the screenshot at the right second, that's the hard part. In the main screen click on the A-10 fly screen and head towards the Red Mi troop helo, it cuts in front of you and at around that point there's some power lines. Fly under in F3 view and sooner or later you'll clip the lines n get the sparks !!!!

I dunno about a pic, it was hard enough doing 20ft AGL in F3 mode !!!! It happens really quick so will be hard.

Yesterday I flew under one of the power lines for a bit of low level fun, this was done in the F3 view. As I flew under the pylon the cable caught one of my engines (in the A-10), as it caught my engine sparks flew off !!!! Only a small detail but cool and there never the less.

back up your internet shortcuts, I forgot and lost loads of cool websites, nothing to do with LOMAC I know but annoying !

Instigator, get the game first, make goddam sure it works or you'll be in the same boat as me, aboard the good ship lock-on (game don't work squadron). When you have a game that works THEN get the manual. Apologies if you've already got the game and I've read this wrong. Happy New Year

two weeks ago I totally started fresh, clean install of windows with format of my HD, new graphics card 9600 pro, new mobo abit kv7, new ddr ram 1024mb, new processor amd 1800 pro. I basically built a new machine, I've been high on the maintenance this time round as last time my system was so full of rubbish it wasn't funny, if I download something and installed it I make goddam sure I'll use it, if not it's uninstalled and a registry clean is carried out. I defrag weekly now aswell. I'm using a 9600 pro by hightech, one of them built under licence thingys, using the 7.95 cats.

I tried it and it was 4x agp and fast write disabled. but thanks anyway. madjeff do you want to ship that pc of yours over here, I think it's only fair that we should all be in the same boat !!! :D :D :D cheers for your help and unlike some people on the ubi forums I'm still smiling and not even considering using bad language. :D

thanks chaingun, this did and didn't work.....the game works with this method but only for a few minutes, some missions work some don't, the A10 misssions crash (partly why I got the game in the first place) so I've decided to uninstall and await the patch. Personally I feel like I've been ripped off by a bloke selling dodgy games down the pub...... "yeah course it works mate, on ALL operating systems and ALL graphics cards, any problems TOUGH, now that'll be £25 cheers". I should of read between the lines when they said it takes a hefty system to run it to actually read your pc's fine but the games bugged out and we'll blame your system till the patch comes out next year. :( :( :( :(

Well I got LOMAC today, woohoo !!! off over xmas with lomac...... what a result !!!! HOWEVER, on startup I hear the intro being played, I get the splash screen, then I get "lomac has caused an error in mom.dll" . anyone had this error ? I'm using an AMD 1800XP, ATI Radeon 9600pro, 1gig RAM direct x9
