FC3 AFM Missile Improvement Details
Ruggbutt replied to Dave's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
No changes to missile seeker logic so I predict the same game killing bugs present in FC2 will be present in FC3. Regardless of their wonderful new AFM. -

DCS CTD
Ruggbutt replied to 76.IAP-Blackbird's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
People are having a hell of a time running it with XP and 32 bit. There's so much tweaking and fuddling around to get it to run that it's still not very stable. -
DCS CTD

DCS won't run on XP at all. -
In this case it involves me. Wags has spite himself many times because he doesn't like me. Wonder why there haven't been any reviews of ED products here before they're released to the general public? Dave, can't fix 'em. You'd be called hacker or worse if you played online with the missiles corrected. ED is going to have to fix them and soon because with third party devs who have a lot of 120A data for example (B/C/D is more classified) will be calling for ED to get their act together. And yeah, there's a schitt load of russian bias by ED. Before they fixed them in FC2 the Mig could not only out turn every a/c in the game but it could supercruise out of burner. Don't get me wrong, I like ED's products but they still need to pull their heads out.

I know two real life Hornet drivers who were willing to help ED with non-classified systems. Matt Wagner passed on it because they're in my squadron. I guess he was happier to hear thousands of complaints from paying customers. Hopefully Wags pulls his head out of his ass. One of mine is creating missions for FC.

That's not true.

Realistic Sun by Peter P View File Realistic Sun 1.2.1 This version includes Mustang's Sky.FX for a better lightning and has a fine-tuned Rays.tga. It also includes the template I used to create the Rays.tga Instruction: Copy the 'Bazar' folder into your DCS World installation and allow to overwrite. Example path : C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Backup files are provided in 'original file DCS 1.2.0 sun'. Before/after video: All intensive test where made with HDR "Normal" and 1920x1080 16:9 - if is this isn't working like on the video for you and you want to change the point when the darkening of the HDR kicks in: open \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\shaders\sky\ skyQuad.fx and change in line #49 the "300.0". to a smaller value = later HDR or greater value = sooner HDR use steps of 10.0 and make a test in-game -than fine-tune it. Keep in mind that it the HDR effect highly depends of your used FOV (Zoom) and how dark the actual scene is. Higher the FOV in the external views to take screen-shots with full sun. >>> R-Ctrl+NumPad/ <<< Please provide Feedback in this thread: http://forums.eagle....362#post1526362 Many thanks to Mustang for showing me the right place to search for a fix! -PeterP 09-08-2012 Submitter Ruggbutt Submitted 08/25/2012 Category DCS Misc.
