You speak the truth. I had an acquaintance who was Pakistani. A young guy, who appeared to want to be American and leave the attitude of his country behind. We got to talking once and the subject got on to India and he started ranting about how he wished his country would nuke India. I explained that would be a bad idea, as India would surely destroy Pakistan. His response was "As long as the country of India ceases to exist then that is ok". I was shocked by this, and it's not the first time I've heard Pakistanis say something as ignorant as this in my country. I never had an Indian friend take the same attitude.

That was pretty cool. What sim is that?

It's the exact same game in m/p that it has been for the last several releases. Not a fan. I prefer BF3.

Every spring and summer as I'm trimming the trees and bushes I'll inevitably find a nest of wasps. Now this is my property, and my bush but the wasps for some reason think that they're going to occupy said bush. Normally I'd have a live and let live attitude but every time I walk by that bush one of the wasps likes to come out and sting me a half dozen times, forcing me to leave. So now I can't trim the bush, but the wasps are benefitting from my automatic sprinklers watering that bush. I've tried to reason with the wasps, but they only respond with force. When my nieces and nephews come over they can't play in the yard because the wasps (incorrectly) think it belongs to them. So I handle it the way that will keep my nieces and nephews safe. I buy a big 'ol can of spray and I kill every single one of them. There is no negotiating with the wasps, they only know violence. Today, my nieces and nephews can play in the yard without fear being stung because I did what was necessary to protect my property and my family. Substitute Palestinian for wasp in this story and you see what Israel has to deal with. And frankly, I respect the wasps more than I do the Hamas loving Palestinians.

Don't waste your time with BS1. It can't be used within DCS: World.

FC3 Bug Thread

Land at your airbase with wingman in tow and if he doesn't land with you, he'll repeat ad nauseum "Returning to base". You can't shut him up. This bug has been present since FC2. -

Just reinstall whatever version you can get. It sounds to me you had something go wrong w/your install. -

Here's a vid, not my best shooting but you'll see that if you place the pipper behind the a/c you get the most hits. -

Completely remove the sim and reinstall. Don't install over the existing. Also, remove the DCS folder in X:/Users/Account Name/Saved Games -

If you're having pit troubles, reinstall. Ironroad, have you tried the new 310 beta drivers? Also, when you install allow the installer to install the newest files from Microsoft. -

I have my HUD set to a snap view full screen. I can toggle it on/off. -
I'll post FC3 bugs here since I know they're looking at this forum as well. First pic in each series shows where the pipper is aimed, second is a short time later as tracers pass high beyond enemy a/c. You'll notice in last series that I'm almost at a 6 o'clock position. I've only configured two other a/c, one being the MIG and it's gun pipper is dead on.

ED hasn't given us a new theatre to fly in in 10 years. -
Announcing RAZBAM DCS: A-7E/D

Now we need a proper carrier and carrier ops. I don't see it coming for a long time. -
ED purchased Ricardo's hi-res pits for the Su's and the Mig. They look awesome.

Eye candy is nice, but I hope some of the other show stoppers have been fixed. Like the severely broken AMRAAM. Like ED's "fix" for ECM macros (which would make you unable to be locked by radar to about 10 miles) which was to give it a 15 second warm up time. AWACS not STFU and repeating not only the contacts twice, but contacts anywhere in theatre even if they were 160 miles away. This one has been an issue for 8 (count 'em) years! Or using the EO exploit, where you go EO (Helmet mode) then switch on your radar. Enemy not only doesn't get a lock warning, but you can fire a radar guided missile. I'm playing devil's advocate here cuz I know the answer to the AMRAAM question, but the others were complete show stoppers for multiplayer. Some of you say that m/p isn't your bag, but you're missing out. The AI is never as good as playing against another human being. My squadron has gone up against numbers twice and thrice ours and we more often than not wipe out all the enemy. There's something ultimately satisfying about being agressive and putting superior numbers on the defense. I have many tracks where a wingman and I have killed 3 out of 4 enemies and had to break off the chase of the 4th because of our fuel state. In several instances the enemies went down w/out firing a shot. My point with all this m/p talk is that is how most of the bugs have been found in ED's software. I know ED wants to give us as good of a product as possible and with FC3 being integrated into World I think that finally all the squadrons and the lone wolves that enjoy m/p will come back to ED. There was a mass exodus from the online community because FC2 was such a broken POS that the majority couldn't stand to fly it any longer. With the updater the future looks bright and I'm hoping that the promised fixes that never came are a thing of the past. I fly the Warthog almost every day. It's nice to see that ED so far has been vigilant in pushing the fixes to the clients. IMHO that's the only way that ED can succeed because for every fanboi on their forums there's a disgruntled customer who isn't happy with broken promises to fix the software that they paid for. I'm planning some reviews for this site and while Dave has the preview copy I will be writing miy opinions as well. I've been flying ED's software since Flanker and seriously since Lock On was released. I've modded the hell out of the sim and flown more hours online than most will in s/p. Had this been last year or the year before I wouldn't be optimistic about anything ED was releasing. I've seen what I believe to be a turn around as of late and I think that maybe ED is starting to listen to it's customers. From what I'm getting from Dave there's a huge difference between FC2 and FC3. I can't wait to get my hands on it, and I'll be buying it the day it's released. It's been a long time since I've said that about an ED product. That being said I'm thrilled with DCS: Warthog.

Watched and donated. I'm having a great year and I'm very fortunate in these down economic times. It makes sense to pay it forward.
