  1. The point is not to make true Soldiers. The point is that war has existed without the institutions that created the best soldiers we have. And even without these places, there has been war. Native Americans, Aztecs, Asia, Europe, Middle East. Wherever there have been Humans, there have been war. War is simply an historical constant. As thus, is it in our nature. I know how many seem to have an issue with this opinion, but we are a predator species, and such are usually built and meant to compete. Since we outmatch most of what would be our natural predators with the use of tools, we have only each other left to compete with.
  2. Keep up the great work! Loving this so far!
  3. Wrong. Boot Camp is a specific form of training. It is not a general term for the training of warriors. It is the art of breaking people down to the extent necessary so they become disciplined, then building them back up again.
  4. I am sorry, but your logic is flawed. Boot Camp is for humans a rather recent invention. Boot Camps became necessary the moment the civilisation had attained such moral value that they became necessary. That is however not their origin. The 20th Century boot camp (as seen in Bad Lads Army, Full Metal Jacket) etc etc is derived from the warfare in the Napoleonic Era where discipline was everything. You had to be able to stand and be shot at, then be fit to return the favour. The general style has not changed all that much between 1750 & 1950. The same focus on Discipline so you would remember your basic skills when the bullets started firing. Today, their purpose is as you state, but not to convert, merely to bring forth the qualities our ancestors have had since the Stone Age. Wherever there have been humans, there have been conflict. Wars have shaped our entire history and I would daresay War Alone. I do not say it is our genes, but it is a part of our nature - to fight or flight. If it was not in our nature, it would be much more difficult to incite populaces to war.
  5. If you want to fly as Red Side, the best choice is the Campaign Customizer DLC.
  6. I am staring at it in disbelief. That thing flies? I am so going to take it up right now. Good work, lad!
  7. There is no hate here unless you bring it, and while Stary might seem like Belsebub at times, he is quite Harmless.
  8. I think the F-5E would have suited the IDF like "hand in glove", if they had discontinued use of the Mirage III after the Six Day War. You have to remember that their doctrine still relied heavily on going close up with Guns.
  9. You are looking for something that is not there. I am dead serious when I say a girl who models on an Gripen wing could actually be the pilot. Not probable, but possible.
  10. I just want to assure you guys I have not given up on this one. I have just been terribly busy, moving and all ^^
  11. Swedish Air Force Historical Flight Hawker Hunter. A Wing of Acro Deltas J-35Bs
  12. Two or three of them are, just not as skimpy clothed, since you need to be able to handle the G Forces :) And no, Major Lee. Where the is Gripen, there is Swedish Values of both genders flying and fighting. We do not put our women in the C-130 Hercules or making coffee in the briefing rooms. During the latest exercise, all the worlds female pilots flying Gripens actually flew together.
  13. Let me put it this way. I avoid making campaigns where I have to worry about a ground war. The Ground War usually takes about 80% of the Campaign Creation Time - at least if I want it done right.
  14. I have tried this a lot of time for TSF and according to my experience, the point where the enemy shall invade cannot be defended. It must also be the most obvious route for the unit to take (i.g fastest way to the objective). Tying more units strategic nodes is also a good way. As a partical measure, having undefended nodes in the water to close the distance also works, but is not optimal in case they meet during the way. In general, ground war is a mess to program and even worse to predict.
  15. - All Skins converted from BMP to JPG. This will make the game flow better and reduce loading time. - Veltros Catalina & Mainstay restored. - Mainstay more common in Midvintermörker Campaign - Su 25 Loadout fixed - Robot 15 turned into Crusie Missile so it can be shot down. If you download this to patch your current TSF Installation, you must delete your previous mod folder for your system to benefit from the BMP/JPG conversion.

  18. Oh, China, you magnificent copyright crime of a country Not bad, m´lad Spinner. Not bad at all !
  19. Right. Using this program now. Its easy to maintain as a Gripen. Going to convert all TSF files, then check size and preformance.
  20. Running latest patch, never seen this behavior in over a year.
  21. The 3D Software shot did not do the Interceptor justice. Looks good in flight. Can´t wait to see it skinned :)
  22. That is actually quite interesting. I will however wait for a while and see before rendering judgement. But they went the correct route as I see it. How does the average desktop look? Any change over what we are used to?
