  1. OK, how do I do that? Is there a tutorial?
  2. I was wondering if anyone would want to do this skin for the RF-101G. This is a paint-job on a real RF-101H (56-0001) that still exists today. It just has this spurious scheme. This particular plane was flown by Robin Olds when it was an F-101C.
  3. I was wondering if there was a way to add one more serial number to the list for the RF-101B. The very first RF-101B was not traded back from Canada and carried the serial 57-0301. Technically this was the first of this short-lived obscure bird that I totally love!
  4. In reference to the F-101A data on f-101voodoo.com, it has been corrected. The old info was for a B model, and lists the Falcons as GAR-1's instead of AIM-4's. The current info is correct with 4x20mm M39's. 1 F-101A/C model was modified with a rotating bay as a testbed, but was not used operationally. The pictures above of the rotating bay were of some interest to me because they show the original 3x3 Falcon loadout. This was not carried for very long as most were equipped to carry 2 Falcons, and 2 Genies.
  5. I found this pic of an F-101C in SEA camo. It was painted as such just prior to being converted to RF-101H.
  6. Some of you who know me from here know that I am a Voodoo fanatic. Well, myself and Pat (mostly Pat) from f-106deltadart.com have created a new website dedicated to the F-101 voodoo. I has lots of great info and pictures and such. No forum as of yet, but the site is up and running. For those of you who are interested, check it out here... http://www.f-101voodoo.com/
  7. Hey Wrench, thanks for the reply, I put it in as you said, except under the nose section I put it in like this: SystemName[004]=LandingLight01 SystemName[005]=Canopy That landing light line was already there so I called in 005. I added some landing light mod to this plane. I put the other 2 sections in the pilot section as you said, and deleted the original pilot data. Couldn't get this to work. Does it matter that I called the SystemName 5? I also have the animation key set up for 2 should I also change this? I hope I am making sense. This stuff still kinda baffles me!
  8. By the way, the Early F-101B canopy worked, but the regular one did not. I compared their data files line by line and found that the F-101B file called the AnimationID=2. I changed it to 1 like on the Early F-101B and it worked fine!!! Thanks for the help!!!
  9. I tried to use animation key 2, I set it up as Shift+C, it didn't work. Am I doing that wrong?
  10. I was wondering if the F-106 is set up to have an animated canopy. I have looked at some of the topics, and screwed around with the data files, but can't get it to work. I saw that some aircraft are not set up for this at all. How can I tell if this plane is set up for this? I was also wondering if the F-101B has canopy animation. It seems like it is, but I'm not sure because it appears to be in Italian [Tettuccio]<-----------------------Is this Canopy? SystemType=animation InputName=ANIMATION_2 DeploymentMethod=MANUAL MaxDeploySpeed=20 DragArea=0.50 AnimationTime=5.0 AnimationID=1 If it is set up, I can't get this one to work either. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
  11. I just want to let you know Good Luck, we're all counting on you... RIP
  12. Did anyone make this one, I've never seen this one!!!!!!!! Is this one in the file for the F-101 V1.1?
  13. Since I already had the two F-101B's in the system from here, I loaded the EF-101B to WOV and transferred that to WOE. It overwrote the existing 101's. It showed up, the new version had a different cockpit, but the external view had no rocket tray at all. Also, in WOV, the Falcons showed up sideways in the rocket tray. I was wondering how to transfer just the skin. I tried that, but it did not work. I guess it is a different format. I really want some USAF/Canadian skins from later in the Voodoo's career. I don't know how to skin, it is an art that I have not learned.
  14. Wow, I appreciate you digging that skin up for me! That is exactley what I'm looking for. My question is, can I run it in WOE? I looks like it is set up for WOV.
  15. I was wondering if any skinners ever thought of this bird. It is a one of a kind Voodoo, and the last to fly. Every skin that has come out of this site is fantastic, I'd love to see this one. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j203/SeanB010/ARC_Voodoos/101067_12.jpg
  16. You were right Cliff11. It worked for the Genie, but not for the Falcons. Thanks for your help!
  17. I was wondering if there is a way to animate the F-106 weapons tray to open, fire missile, and close by just firing a missile. That would be kinda cool. I screwed around with this for a while, but couldn't get it to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  18. Every time I fly a mission, the screen goes scrambled when the mission is over. This has occurred ever since I installed the Voodoo Dawn mission. I have since deleted everything related to this installed mission, but I still have the scrambled screen. By the way, this does not happen on any missions I fly at the practice range. If anyone could help, I would be indebted to you.
  19. Actually some F-101's did carry ECM on the rotary bay. Most notably would be the F-101B (actually EF-101B) that is on the loading screen for the Early F-101B available here. If you look right behind the nosewheel, there are antennae for ALT-13 noise jammers. This was also the last F-101B (58-0300) flying in the US inventory. Also the last Canadian F-101B (101067) was an ECM bird and carried the same antennae and also carried ALE-2 chaff tanks. It was painted all black and was the only Canadian Voodoo to carry subdued national markings. This aircraft was the very last Voodoo to ever fly.
  20. I quit. I'll try again in a couple of days.
  21. OK, already installed WOE. Now I'm going to install the latest patch. We'll see how it goes.
  22. When you say patch to latest level, does that mean I use all of the patches up to the latest level, or does Oct08 supercede all of the priors. Also, how do you do #3, that is not what I was doing, I guess I didn't get that one. I just want to get all of this straight.
  23. Since I am starting over, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a sequence for installing patches and weapons editors/packs. I have experience doing all of this (I'm running WOE), but I've been out of the game for about a year. I don't fly any campaigns, I add some planes, like lots of weapons and blow stuff up. I have read the tutorials, but a lot of those are dated '07 or '08 that recommend files from that long ago. Also, many of the patches/weapons packs come with confusing warnings in huge letters that say: don't use this if you have that, but if you don't have that you can use this. Then you follow one sequence and it screws up another. I am not trying to criticize anyone. All of the stuff here is great, I just have a tough time getting it all to work. I know you are supposed to back stuff up but how many times can you screw up? Soooo, should I start with all the most recent stuff and leave it at that, or start at the earliest stuff and work to the most current? If anyone could suggest a course of action I would really appreciate it.
  24. I have decided to start over from scratch with a clean install. I'll get this right yet!
  25. Alright, I just added the Sep/Oct 2008 patch, and the new weapons editor plus weapons pack 2.52. As a result, I have lost a lot of weapons that I added beforehand. One of the fixes I read was to remove the WEAPONDATA.DAT from the WEAPONDATA.INI after opening the new editor. When I went in, there is no WEAPONDATA.DAT or WEAPONDATA.INI. I thought I followed all of the instructions, but lost all of the old stuff I added previously. What should I do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Sorry to be a pain in the ass twice in one day!)
