  1. At one point, I remember there was a a file for an A-7F, the after-burning prototype for the advanced A-7. I looked everywhere, but cant find it on CA. Am I dreaming this, or was the file deleted or something?

  4. Thanks for the advice! I couldn't find the decal tutorial that was mentioned. I am a computer retard, and have a rough time navigating this site. A nudge in the right direction might help.
  5. I want to add to the early F-101B the tail number 58-0300, but this appears to be a file that is not accessible. This number was for the only EF-101B, which was some sort of electronic warfare/radar target aircraft. It was one of the last, if not "the" last USAF Voodoo flying. The load screen for the early_F-101B shows this particular aircraft with a variation of the ADWC markings. I was able to transfer the ADWC markings from the F-101B to the early model with no problem, its just that none of the versions have this tail number. Is there a way to add to the .lod files and add this tail number. I know this is a pretty specific and or loaded question. If it isn't easily done, not a problem. I am obsessed with the 101. All of the work on it has been such a great contribution to the game. Any information would be appreciated.
  6. When I checked the data.ini, I found the ExhaustEmitterName was already set as DirtyExhaustEmitter. However, I saw that the AfterburnerEmitterName was KFIRAfterburnerEmitter. I compared this with the MF F-4G and this did not include the word KFIR. I went to both engines and removed KFIR from the AfterburnerEmitter and the problem was solved! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
  7. Thanks guys the purple haze is now gone, readjusted to 32 bit color. About the missing tga file for the RF-4C, what should I do? (also have the song stuck in my head)
  8. Also, some jets have square exhaust plumes, such as the RF-4, while other F-4's do not.
  9. Some aircraft emit purple exhaust that paints the terrain temporarily. Perhaps I am using the wrong settings?
  10. I just installed WOV. Same as before, before a mission starts, I get the d3dx9_31.dll warning. When I put in WOE I had the same problem, someone on this site, was kind enough to post the d3dx9_31.dll file on combatace. For the life of me, I can't find it. I've been looking for hours. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
  11. If I'm not mistaken, the F-105 was also supersonic on the deck. It was designed as a tactical nuclear strike aircraft. It also had a bomb-bay, although in practice they only ever carried fuel.
  12. I have been wanting to set up a simple intercept mission to familiarize myself with the F-101B. The falcons are quite the challenge to score a hit with. I want to set up a mission with a non-maneuvering Badger or something, a scenario where i could test the limitations without interference eg: getting intercepted myself or shot down by SAMs. Is this mission I want to build way over my head, or even possible? I downloaded that Le Moinseur 2006 from check6, but it doesn't seem to want to let me set up a mission. It also changed some of the settings on the game (WOE.) Another forum mentioned something called KMD as an alternative, but I don't know what that is. I really want to learn how to build some missions, so I could make an accurate ADC intercept mission. I have studied the 101, 102, and 106 extensively and have a good idea of what was going on, but I have no idea what I'm doing here!

  15. I usually fly every mission from takeoff to landing, (a little alt-n in between). Some of the aircraft I fly have a weird shadow line that runs from the nose of the plane to the ground from every exterior angle. Have I loaded something incorrectly, or is there some update I am missing that causes this phenomenon?

  17. I tried the extractor tool, but it won't load properly. I tried to put it into WOE and it gets to a point where it says: installing fonts, and then stops. As far as Kodiaks advice, I was not quite sure what I was supposed to do. I appreciate all of your help though.
  18. Here is one way to add the AIM-4 F&G model to early F-101B and F-101B. I am running WOE with current weapons pack and weapons editor. 1. Download the F-106 to your desktop, there will be a separate weapon folder and F106weapon.txt folder. 2. Copy only the AIM-4F and AIM-4G weapon data to WEAPONDATA.ini, adding appropriate numbers. 3. Copy contents of weapons folder to main weapons folder. 4. Add AIM-4F and AIM-4G in weapon editor. 5. Go to specific F-101 data.ini and add \\ to the line SpecificationStationCode=AIM4 if it isn't already, so it looks like this: [FalconStationSX] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=1 StationType=SEMI_RECESSED AttachmentPosition=-0.340,3.45,-0.59 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=130 DiameterLimit=0.5 LengthLimit=2.2 AllowedWeaponClass=IRM,SAHM \\SpecificStationCode=AIM4 AttachmentType=USAF,NATO ModelNodeName=Falcon_sx MovingPylon=TRUE AnimationID=9 RotatingPylon=TRUE PylonMass=10 PylonDragArea=0.001 [FalconStationDX] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=2 StationGroupID=1 StationType=SEMI_RECESSED AttachmentPosition=0.340,3.45,-0.59 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=130 DiameterLimit=0.5 LengthLimit=2.2 AllowedWeaponClass=IRM,SAHM \\SpecificStationCode=AIM4 AttachmentType=USAF,NATO ModelNodeName=Falcon_dx MovingPylon=TRUE AnimationID=9 RotatingPylon=TRUE PylonMass=10 PylonDragArea=0.001 This worked for me. You can only carry AIM-4F&G on these stations, not the Genie station.

  20. I cannot remember how to remove the radar screen in the upper right hand corner. It had something to do with a file called HUDData.ini. I couldn't find this in the flight folder. All I found was HUD.dll. Is there a way to open this and delete that screen? I hate to keep bugging everyone, this should be my last question for a while. Just trying to get my game back to where it was before.
