  1. That's one of the funniest things i ever read!
  2. I wasn't sure if i should post this but i figure that most here have probaly not heard of the worst thing since Rebecca Black. This is just so damn bad that despite multiple viewings, i've yet to endure the whole video. If you really want to be entertained, just check out Facebook. A page dedicated to hating them actually has more likes than their official one. Their label has been catching all kinds of hell.

Decided to bring along plenty of company but it went very bad. Armament problems meant that some could be effective and the gunners down there got their fill. Olmstead (who had just gotten back from being downed) Basel, and Brown were shot down. We got a truck convoy but it wasn't worth it. After being off ops for a while we went back into action. It was a beautiful piece of work as we came in just as a B-52 strike was working across the target area. Whatever those guys down there they wanted to take out were doing ended for sure as we rained down 10 CBUs in quick order upon their heads.
  4. Wow! That's a lot of flak!
  5. I read about Steigler sometime in the past. Apparently, he had a reputation amongst the 8th AF as being a mystery Luftwaffe pilot would let heavily damaged aircraft fly on instead of going in for the kill.
  6. One thing about Americans. No matter what the situation, we will always find ways to make a few bucks... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704816604576333593314542416.html?mod=WSJ_hp_editorsPicks_3

  8. You want to see just how insane things can get these days? A few years ago i got arrested and spent 8 days in jail. I sure as hell had better food and got a better night's sleep than i ever got at home during that time. As a matter of fact, when i was homeless i knew of a few guys who had the tactic of getting locked up for a few weeks or months during the winter. "Three hots and a cot" we called it. Things were timed to avoid the worst weather. Jail was looked upon as just being in a enforced stay hotel.
  9. I've always thought of a campaign for the cargo jobs. Something that would involve either air dropping supplies to units in trouble to actually landing and taking off under fire. Another idea would be a campign for Hueys in the latest WOV update.
  10. Nice work Jaman! One of these days i'm going to have to try flying in Korea.

Me and Andy along with Captain Charles Evans and 2LT Eddie Io were loaded up with 5 CBUs each for a strike at an enemy base camp. It seems that intel tracked some trucks to a location in southern Laos and wanted us to screw up the works by taking out some of the personnel in that area. It was a routine flight down there and the only glitch was having to circle 20 miles out due to being a little earlier than a pair af fast movers (F-4s) that were due to handle the guns that were there. Well, they came in firing rockets and got a number of secondaries which told us this was some sort of refueling facility. Down we went and made a beautiful drop with only machine gun tracers to deal with. 10 CBUs went off over and around the target area withing seconds of each other and we got some nice secondaries also. Job done, back to altitude and home.

Awsome mission where my comp crashed just before landing back at base. Missed the target with the initial attack and so sent my wingman home while i tried again. Had great help from Navy Scooters and USAF Huns distracting the guns while i made a low level strafing run and got the hell out of there. The target was actually hit right as someone dropped some CBUs in the vicinity.
  13. Will be back in the skies in a while. Had a really intense and classic mission wiped out by a program crash just minutes from from landing. Have been doing something else the last few days as i was feeling burnout approaching.
  14. Congratulations on their victory. Here's to hoping that one day, Fulham FC will drive all before them!
  15. Took a hell of a lot of damage when i was flying SPADs. I figure that perhaps on six occasions, i would have been gone for sure if i was in any other aircraft. People should be advised. Get too low and slow and you can even draw RPG fire!
  16. NOV65 Just to let you know that i did two more missions and somehow lost the AARs. Not to much to report. On the first we went down to a VC camp SW of Da Nang. Midway on the trip, we overflew that NVA basecamp and our B flight went to work on them while the rest of us went after the main target. After that was done, we went back up and finished off what we could find. The second was a big fiasco. A combination of wrong ammo and lousy luck made for a busted mission as we mised a warehouse located just downriver of the Ben Thuy plant. At least we didn't get hit as we made two passes through some hot fire.
