Why such concern over the F-22A Raptor, when there is already a very solid model of the F-23A Black Widow II for WOE/WOV/SFP1. It's a much prettier plane, anyway. I share the opinion of the Northrop design team that made this bird... the YF-23 should have won the ATF competition, hands down. The aircraft met the "force multiplier" requirements set by the Air Force. I found this very cool documentary on the YF-23, and bought me a copy. Here's he link. http://www.wci-productions.com/

NOW HOW DO YOU SUPPOSE THIS HAPPENED?????????

I'm guessing Israeli Air Force II, only, not tied to the Jane's Information Group logo, this time.

I'd really love to see and SEA Jungle Camo or Euro Camo for this bird, too, some day. That USMC paint job for the F/A-37 Talon would look nice on this bird, too.

BEAUTIFUL!! I've been curious about this one. Yet another fighter that could grace the skies of the real world, in greater numbers. The hardpoints could be space out just a teeny bit (AGM-65s seem a little tightly packed on there, as it is.), but otherwise, she's a gorgeous plane. Nice piece of work.

Awww, Finally!! It's about time, someone made some new skins for that Bird!! Nice work, dude!! Thanks!!

Every Maxtor I've ever owned has died a horrible death at the most inopportune times, possible. Seagate drives are awesome, they're built like Tanks, you can chuck 'em off a 100 storie building and they still work. So, you should have no troubles, now. Western Digital is the Ferrari of Hard Drives, though. I usually buy WD

I would have to agree, the 9Bs do hit fairly consistently, within 0.6 to 1.5 nm of the target, flying straight and level, so, ultimately it just takes patience while you keep the target in front of you and wait out the AI, until the target thinks he has lost you, or decides to bug out and head for home.

I've been collecting Anime since 1990. I have several thousand hours of it on VHS & DVD. I've always been the Mobile Suit Gundam fan... the original "Universal Century" stories. Macross, of course. There is a fairly new OVA series out called "Fairy Air Force: Yukikaze"... in spite of it's title, this is an awesome Anime that has some really amazing Fighter aircraft designs. ...anyone remember Outlanders? hehehe.

Agreed... buying the parts, separately and building the system yourself is much more cost effective, plus, you have the option of swapping useful parts from your older sytem into the new one, though it is less likely these days with the advent of SATA, PCI-E and about 50 different forms of RAM. What ever happened to the concept of "universal compatibility".

Subarashii, ne... sugoii yo... Hajimemas**te Nagase-san. Watashi wa Brian "MiG Hound" Smith Desu, Dozo yoroshiku... Looking over your F-15J / DJ mod, No. 35 dated July 2001. I'm really looking forward to the release of these. Your work is excellent. This reminds me of an article I was reading in "J-Wings" magazine, and I'd like to suggest you create the skins for the JASDF F-15DJ Aggressor squadron. I really love these camo jobs for these planes, they really bring some character to the F-15. There are nine different variations... I'm not suggesting you make them all. Here are examples of what I'm talking about. Gambaremasu yo... Matta ne...

Awesomeness... thanks.

Just out of curiosity, apart from getting the one model to work, can anyone tell me, what these settings do? I can't visually detect any differences, the game looks pretty much the same.

Ummm... yeah... I got it working with the alterations to the Flightengine.ini, with no dire consequences, that I can see, but I see what the guy meant by a lot of unresolved bugs. The most notable were there Sidewinder stations did not appear unless you had fuel tanks selected, otherwise your AIM-9s would just be floating out there in open space. The shape of the thing is... pretty close, but not perfect. No insult to Florian, but the GR Mk. 1, IDS & ECR models based on ArmourDave's designs that USAFMTL released are far more accurate, and they're beautiful. nudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean, know what I mean... hint hint hint...

Nevermind... I found it...

What do I need to extract this file from the .CAT? Thanks. I've been dying to get this F.3 model to work, for ages, and haven't been able too. At this point, I'm willing to try anything. I have all the others, I just need this model to have all of the available Tornado variants.

Ummm... yeah, Capun... Forgive me, if I may seem blind, but looking over the pages of your site, it isn't too evident as to how we're suppose to e-mail you, to gain access. Other than the paypal link, there is nothing slese that would suggest how to contact you. Should we drop you a line through CombatAce or what should we do? I hope you accept E-Cheques via paypal for donations. Those OV-1D and S-2 models are beautiful. Awesome work. Thanks... MiG Hound.

F/A-18A / CF-188 Hornet Hud problem and solution.
MigHound replied to MigHound's topic in General Discussion
I have come across another aircraft with the same anomaly. The fictitious F-19 model. The Hud, again is a big laggy white box, so resize the pitch.tga in the cockpit folder to 215x2048 and the HUD works fine. -
Arthur: Old Woman! Man: Man! Arthur: Man, sorry.... What knight lives in that castle over there? Man: I'm thirty-seven! Arthur: What? Man: I'm thirty-seven! I'm not old-- Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man"... Man: Well you could say "Dennis"-- Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis! Man: Well, you didn't bother to find out, did you?! Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind, you looked-- Man: Well I object to your...you automatically treat me like an inferior! Arthur: Well I *am* king... Man: Oh, king, eh, very nice. And 'ow'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers! By 'angin' on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society. If there's ever going to be any progress,-- Woman: Dennis! There's some lovely filth down 'ere! Oh! 'Ow'd'ja do? Arthur: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, king of the Britons. Whose castle is that? Woman: King of the 'oo? Arthur: King of the Britons. Woman: 'Oo are the Britons? Arthur: Well we all are! We are all Britons! And I am your king. Woman: I didn't know we 'ad a king! I thought we were autonomous collective. Man: You're fooling yourself! We're living in a dictatorship! A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes-- Woman: There you go, bringing class into it again... Man: That's what it's all about! If only people would-- Arthur: Please, *please*, good people, I am in haste! WHO lives in that castle? Woman: No one lives there. Arthur: Then who is your lord? Woman: We don't have a lord! Arthur: What?? Man: I *told* you! We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune! We're taking turns to act as a sort of executive-officer-for-the-week-- Arthur: Yes... Man: But all the decisions *of* that officer 'ave to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting-- Arthur: Yes I see! Man: By a simple majority, in the case of purely internal affairs-- Arthur: Be quiet! Man: But by a two-thirds majority, in the case of more major-- Arthur: BE QUIET! I *order* you to be quiet! Woman: "Order", eh, 'oo does 'e think 'e is? Arthur: I am your king! Woman: Well I didn't vote for you! Arthur: You don't vote for kings! Woman: Well 'ow'd you become king then? (holy music up) Arthur: The Lady of the Lake-- her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king! Man: Listen: Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some... farcical aquatic ceremony! Arthur: BE QUIET! Man: You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!! Arthur: Shut *UP*! Man: I mean, if I went 'round, saying I was an emperor, just because some moistened bink had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away! Arthur: Shut up, will you, SHUT UP! Man: Aha! Now we see the violence inherent in the system! Arthur: SHUT UP! Man: Come and see the violence inherent in the system! HELP, HELP, I'M BEING REPRESSED! Arthur: Bloody PEASANT! Man: Oh, what a giveaway! Did'j'hear that, did'j'hear that, eh? That's what I'm all about! Did you see 'im repressing me? You saw it, didn't you?!

Yeah, I think I see where this guy is coming from... for example, the stock F-15A for WOE has ten selectable service years in the Single mission menu, from 1976 - 1986. Whereas wpnssgt's F-15C model has only seven selectable service years, dating from 1979 - 1987, or so. On the other hand, the A-5B model has upto 20+ selectable service years attributed to it. So, either there is something in the individual planes' .INI files that I am missing or it is completely random. However, following USAFMTL's Options.INI edit regime appears to have worked for me. All the aircraft, with service years ranging from 1950 - 2040 all now fly within their assigned service lifetime in Wings over Europe. I was a bit skeptical at first, because I felt the options.INI file is more or less static, it will be rewritten, every time you select a different aircraft. But, so far it seems to work. Now, I'm about to jump back into the game and try it again... if you don't hear from me on this issue, again... I would say the issue lies elsewhere for this one persons' problem. One thing I might suggest is... it appears from the traffic on this issue, this person has both WOV and WOE installed... he should be sure that he is editing the WOE file, and not the WOV one. We're all human... it could have been over-looked. MiG Hound
