Its basically a grey black white colourless version of image...certain shades of grey allow amounts of the main texture to have the metal look or shiny new paint or none at all... like so,exagerated to show what it does... last pic...gives paint that metallic shine if you want shine...and where paints worn makes the metal skin look shiny...rusty etc better example on the JPG7 tail this good tut...Spec mapping youtube tutorial
  3. so I basically create say,an invisible rudder,with fake animation ...ie...not actually animated but assigned a slot id... like so [Rudder Pedal] Modelnodename=Rudder_Pedal SystemType=ANIMATION AnimationTime=3.0 animationid=10 but no actual animation or rudder just maybe an invisible polygon called rudder and linked to panel like the real rudder pedal in the cockpit. ? vid of the animated legs,rudders and park and rotor brakes. cheeeers

  7. Check out the Hellfire strike at 19:38 amazes me how many experts watch and criticise,when they obviously havent a clue about air to ground combat....or physics etc....these 2 apache crews do great job. dishing out some payback.

  14. yeah np....got one for the KA-27 \32 also....plus low poly lods....ka has ordinary blades and folded....like same for H19 ?
  15. hmmm plenty of time and able to get this cockpit nearly done...its not 100% but close......as close as im doing anyways lol...its the freeware one and a LOT of stuff replaced or added by urs truly......I think the legs look ok....had to redo them....just about all the model done of pit...just got to do the data now....as to the helo...a bit of work.... because the fuselage is mapped using subobjects...so I have to map the bits like the nose section ,bottom and top meshes to fuselage texture etc etc....then i have to also condense down the template... animated the gears....need to do windows and door.....then the data ini...should be about a week or thereabouts...hopefully.... pics not in order...you may notice more bits in some pics...they are the latest shots.... I was gonna say the clouds are background...but you can see that in last shots lol...just realised no need to mention it ha ha dial glass reflection is a wip so u know

  18. where it says this on each weaponstation you need add like so AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,FT,IRM,ARM,SAHM IRM for such as aim9 ARM for any Anti Radiation weapon and same for sahm... heres list of short names you need know.... then add to the proper line in the loadout..ini BOMB ...   21. Which type of pilot which eras ?...I can mod my Gerpilots for you if you like....my ww2 Gerpilot 2 does face backwards these are forwards one with mask etc one without as you see or angel pilot lol...she does look like an inflatable doll in the viewer lolz

    Freeware FS2002 \FSX model adapted by me Russouk2004 This model is NOT to be uploaded to ANY site apart from here at CombatAce.com. This model isnt brilliant but ive spent a long while fixing bits ,remaking bits,altering mapping that used sub objects(more than 1 texture per mesh) as game doesnt support it. I will upload a base texture with wireframe and labelled parts in day or so...as I couldnt find any templates anywhere..and I did look...ages.... Original model by Rick Piper.... Despite some of the the original readme wording quoted bottom,...this model IS allowed to be shared as its now 100% Freeware,though obvioulsy some rules apply...no back engineering to use parts for something else....just sensible usage. Only fair use and NON commercial use is ALLOWED... Model used is not bad,and as I pointed out,took a lot to sort it for SF2 usage...had basically to stitch the meshes together,even polys.... Also included are.. Pilot and Copilot model... Correct seat... sounds... Low poly Distance LOD Also LOD for those who dont want self illuminated lights...(nav lights and nose light) just replace as required. Uses Starys Cockpit for the Saab 105,minus few parts I "removed" with ini dance... I added some of its performance characteristics where I was able to,limited by my knowledge of the flight data in SF2 lol... anyone wishing to better its flight data go ahead... also Lights arent perfect so feel free to fiddle with them...if you desire.and share results This model has no weapons as its a trainer....if required I can knock up some pylons as later versions did have some before it became the Full Strikemaster version. any bugs let me know ASAP at CA.....enjoy the A\C and hopefully it well get upgraded.... usual routine....drop folders into Mod folder and appropriate sub folders. cheers Russouk2004 original creators credits.... original pilots.......Rick Piper (2004) original Provost ......Rick Piper (2004) ........................ORIGINAL README..........................
