  1. Propulsor has added a couple new aircraft to his great work-in-progress. F-15E Mirage2000C Su-34 You can read all about it at http://www.web-discovery.net/
  2. I know there's been a lot of interest in some mugs/T-Shirts and I just wanted everyone to know they are still in the pipe, the move and unpacking just derailed it for a little bit. I'm going to shoot for something in the next month or so, so stay tuned.
  3. Moved this to the controllers forum.... ;)
  4. For you tweakers out here, TechwareLabs has a good article on memory timing and how they effect performance. http://www.techwarelabs.com/reviews/memory...memory_timings/
  5. Actually, I used to run a BBS (dating myself here... do you younger kids even know what a BBS is? ) for an old PlayByEmail game called VGA Planets. It was actually the biggest VGAP BBS online, I had users from all over the world, and this was back in the day of dialing up directly, so that's saying something. Anyway, when I first started it, I couldn't come up with a good name. I think I spent two weeks kicking around ideas with a friend of mine. We were sitting around his place one day running out of ideas when his wife (who was a nurse) walked in from work with a box that had one of those orange Biohazard stickers on it. We both looked at each other and said, "That's IT!" So the name has stuck with me since then. First the BBS, then later when I moved the VGAP site to the web, I always kept the name. I've toyed with changing the name to better match the current subject matter, but all the good sim names have been taken. I bet you actually thought the story would be interesting, didn't you? On a side note, the old site is still online, frozen in time. you can see it here.
  6. Chief. no prob, didn't think that. I agree with the controller comment, I absolutly will not fly a helo sim without my hotas and rudder pedals. ;)

    new F-18 sim

A little slow there today Dagger buddy... ;) http://forum.biohazcentral.com/viewtopic.php?t=1934 Also posted on the frontpage... http://www.biohazcentral.com/modules.php?o...rder=0&thold=-1 From the interview it sounds promising, but I guess we'll see. The good news is that by thier 2-month release estimate, it should be coming out really soon now. You can read the interview here: http://www.insidemacgames.com/features/view.php?ID=223
  8. Not to make any excuses, but you guys do remember this is an EARLY ALPHA E3 build, right? You are all already starting to sound like your judging the final product based on this demo. It remains to be seen if this will satisfy those of use that likes realistic helo sims, but the company (at least on the surface) is trying to accomodate the hardcore sim people, and are listening to the community. All i'm saying is, take the demo for what it is, an early work in progress. I personally have seen worse finished and released stuff out there than what we got with this alpha demo. ;)
  9. Well thank you for the kudos. :D We probably won't ever be a CombatSim or SimHQ, but we do what we can. I just want to provide a place where people can come and talk about their sim habit. It's a community site, it's only as good as the users make it. We are actually talking about where we want to take Biohaz from here, as it's time to move things up to the next level, so stay tuned for some (hopefully) improvements in the near future.
  10. I remember doing that at my grad, cleaned house in blackjack. IIRC, I won a VCR (of course, this was early 80's when VCR's actually cost a lot...) and some car stereo equipment. It was a blast!
  11. I seem to remember someone else reporting this problem with a Saitek as well, but don't remember who. do a search on joystick stuck and see what comes up.
  12. Well, I spent about a half hour with it so far, and I have to say, it is in a much more polished state then I would have guessed for an early alpha build. I don't have my joystick unpacked so had to just do some quick arcade-style flights, but this title has some real promise. Here's a quick screenshot just to get you interested:
  13. Boxart on the upcoming Graphsim F/A-18 sim... No detail yet, but they've got a page up finally. http://www.graphsim.com/operation-iraqi-freedom/
  14. Agreed, this will definately be on my "must-get" list. I'll be following this one closely. :D
  15. Looks like a big DL, weighing in at 297Mb. I'm DLing it now on a T1 but the DL is a little slow at 61Kb... I'll post my thoughts on the demo later this evening.
  16. Crap! I'll get it on the front page...
  17. Here's some shots I have not seen before: http://www.gbase.ch/index.asp?zone=pc&targ...=shots&id=11694 This were just posted today: http://www.gbase.ch/index.asp?zone=pc&targ...=shots&id=11765 Here's a couple of the better shots:
  18. Sweet! LvP, you have got to quit teasing us with these shots and release it... :D
  19. Have you created an account on the main site? Unfortunately it is a seperate database from the forums. :D
  20. Now that my move is over and things are getting back to normal, I want to get this article done. So get those questions in! :D I'll probably wrap up the questions and add my own, then talk with Vlad this weekend.
  21. Ranger, 800x600 or even 1024x768 are fine. What I do ask people is not to post 300dpi 1600x1200 images. :D
  22. Snap, did you ever try wiping all your cookies?
  23. Argon, can you submit a news article for the front page, I'll post it there as well. This is front-page news... :D Go here: http://www.biohazcentral.com/modules.php?o...News&file=index
