  1. I like the use of my billboard! also, I wouldn't use those wharfs in a "L" shape, those built-in buildings would inhibit loading and unloading of docked ships. I'd use the dock_105 or one of the longer docks available of other terrains.

SF2 F-84F Thunderstreak by The Mirage Factory 5/12/2019 = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This is a rebuild for SF2 of The Mirage Factory's F-84F "Thunderstreak" (swept wing version). It goes again my grain to see such a well done aircraft, albeit originally built for SF/W0* 1st Gens, and many associated skin/decal set languish in obscurity simply due to age and the existence of one from 3rd Wire, albeit in a purchasable DLC. THIS one is free, and won't need any hoop-jumping to keep player flyable. I've scavanged most of the existing skin sets, did various tweaking to make them a bit more SF2 ready. The aircraft FM has been slightly adjusted for SF2, a destroyed model attached, decals randomized, and when necessary, decals and new skins created from the revised TMF Templates by Pappychksix. The templates are included in a separate named folder in this download. For those skins with painted on national markings, my patent pending "fake insigina decal" trick was used to activate the Nation Name displayed. The same trick, with my patent pending "fake SqTail" decal, now activates any and all squadrons that are listed in the stock 3W Squadronlist.ini. Reminder: the Squadronlist ini ONLY has full units, not, for example, the various Staffels of the BLW T-streaks. All new skin specific Hangar screens (SF2 style), and one of my famous "AvArt" style loading screens are included. All drop tanks, pilots, weapons and sounds needed are included (see Notes about camo tanks). The Canopy opens with the Standard Animaiton keystroke (shift/0 -shift/Zero). In this pack you have many skins. Most use the 'SF2 date switch' to go from Natural Metal to the End Users (TM) national camoflague finishes. Please note, some skins are in their original "as issued" bitmap format. Some have been rebuilt, or new builds, in jpg format. The skins supplied are: = USAF: 78th TFS, USAFE, RAF Bentwaters 168th FBS, Illinios Air National Guard (1961 Berlin Crisis) 4510th CCTS, Luke AFB (called 'USAF_Silver') = Belgian Air Force: 3rd Squadron (NM 1956) 2nd Squadron (NATO Camo) -switches on in 1958 = Netherlands KLU: 311 Sqn, KLU (Camo) -starts 1964, when F-84Fs were recieved = France: EC 1/1 Corse (1955-1960) -folder called "AdA"; NM. see notes. EC 3/1 Argone (1956 Suez and post-Suez, 1957-ish) = West German BLW: JaboG 31 2nd Sqn "Alma" (NM 1956) (new by me) JaboG 31 2nd Sqn "Alma" Camo JaboG 32 3rd Sqn Camo JaboG 33 3rd Sqn Camo JaboG 34 "Allgäu" 1st Sqn JaboG 35 *Note all except II/JBG 31 NM 56 are Camo, and start in 1962. All BLW skins/decals, except where noted are from Soulfreaks GAF Thunderstreak Pack* = Greek Hellenic Air Force: 348 Sqdn, HAF, NM (1958) 346 Sqdn, HAF, SEA Camo (1971) *Note: in between the NM and SEA, many HAF T-streaks carried NATO 2-tone. That skin is not supplied. See Notes.* Also included is a 'generic natural metal' for any other skinners that wish to fiddle with new skins. As many of the NATO 2-tone camo aircraft use all decals for markings, and the template is supplied, it should be easy to create other skins as needed. Even though the header reads "Full 5 Merged", it can be used in any SF2 mods folder. When in game, on the aircraft selection drop down menu, you'll see: F-84F ThunderStreak (TMF) This differentiates it from the stock 3rd Wire version. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Where possible, I've included the original readme for the various skin sets; the original TMF aircraft readme is in the main aircraft folder. On behalf of my brother Mod Mafiosos... Good Hunting! 6. As Crusader, if you've gotten the SF2 exes since 2013, they can be installed in any order, as thats' the last patch level DLCs can be installed in any order They ALL merge in the main install. in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ThirdWire\Strike Fighters 2 "core install" folder. It's the individual exes that create the seperate game. Everything is available in all, due to this 'core install' system.
  7. I would have! Everyone around here knows my "unique" sense of humor!! and thanks!!
  8. Interestering! here's a thought -- make all the changes needed, send it over and I'll uploaded a "fixit kit" to update the full package, and maybe for those that don't want to re-download, post the repaired data ini in the Object Mods section.
  9. in that case, you'll need to make sure the actual tgas are in the aircraft's decal folder, and not pulling squadronmarkings (Level=1) from the object cats. They can still be level=1 but residing in /D folder. Weathering tgas can be real bitch!!
  10. the min/max extents were removed as they aren't really necessary (hit boxes)
  11. maybe. I mean, the one sitting in my PTO folder already is. A few simple edits, CV specific water bmp...and so forth. But, it's really one of the least practical maps for SF2
  12. Like Crusader said, it be broked I know, it sucks. Really fucked several terrains that benifited from it. So, on those terrains of mine that give the insturctions for "Expanding Borders", ignore them.
  13. Question in geography

I always wondered "where" myself, but never bothered to look! thanks guys!
  14. I just noticed that Pasko's Su-11 Fishpot has an animated nose cone. Would those specs be usable for it, with the appropriate Animation ID change?
  15. Off to the gunnery range for rocket practice!
  16. Rhino's From Down Under ---- and gents, PLEASE, keep it ONLY Phantoms in this thread, ok???

Eritrea/Ethiopia Terrain for SF2 = For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended) This terrain is a rebuild version of the 'beta - (minus)' uploaded by Wingwinner some years ago. It has been completly rebuilt, from the HFD up. This terrain also uses JSF_Aggie's Enhanced Desert tiles, with the tile set =GREATLY= expanded, with many new tiles, many tiles with minor & major corrections and repairs, and LOTS and LOTS of custom TODs. The area covered includes parts of Somilia, Djbouti, a little of eastern Yemen, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Sudan as far west as the Nile rivers (Blue & White) confluence at Khartoum. The 'addon' terrain objects have been kept to a minimum. Stock in-game items have been used in most cases, although some additional units may (or may not!) be required. Add-on GroundObjects, while heavily listed in the _Types.ini, have been kept to as small amount as possible. See "Notes" for what you might need. You've probably got most of them already. Some additions to several Userlists for both Stock 3W and 3rd Party add-ons (in particular for some SAM units) have been included, as several nations simply weren't listed. Limited Nations, Limited Missions and Operations years do NOT reflect the Real World ™. Eritrea did not exist until 1991; the map has the standard "all years spread". However, the various nations are listed in the Eritera_Nations.ini, but none of the Limitations are active. Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life ™ courses, or be placed in their Real Life ™ locations, or even exist as such. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification (ie: mountains, hills, valleys, etc). Some cities may also NOT have all their proper Real Life ™ industries, facilities and other building classifications, or be fully loaded with 'target objects'. Accuracy has been strived for in all cases, to reflect the Real World ™. As much as is possible with this Engine. This map also makes use of the 'Expanded Borders' mod, wherein you make changes to the FlightEngine.ini. Instructions on making this adjustment are included (if you haven't already). Please note, that when unzipped, the terrain folder will be quite large (~350 megs) due to the size of the tiles -they're 1024x. Make sure you have enough space. As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended (ie: REQUIRED!!!) you read the document through after unzipping, before installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. It's most important that the legal disclaimer at the bottom be read and complied with. There has been a change in policy with regards to =ALL= my terrain mods. Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein
  18. RCAF used the RAF roundel for many years; can't remember when they changed to the Maple Leaf (1957ish??) ------ fixed the national marking on the NK "MiG-15F_H". Those that remember the movie, will recall they had Soviet stars (for whatever reason)
  19. Why are those Clunks in the "What If..." screenies?? Those are REAL airplanes!!
  20. 7 years later ....and no other faults reported he answered the question himself --- not fully merged. This terrain REQUIRES the sf2 Desert.cat. Try reading the enclosed readme; it's clearly stated as such. As related to your PM, using the IME cat. WRONG!! well, obviously it dosen't And just for the record, I don't release products that don't work. EVER. If it doesn't work, or has issues I can't fix, it gets junked
