  2. Well, since no one has given the obvious answer, I guess it's up to me.. I do hear that capun does custom work for 65 USD an hour .... ducks and runs .....................
  3. did you also reload DX9? check the /Effects folder for the proper effect parts (inis, tgas, etc) Did you check the complexity setting in the /Options menu? Also, do NOT install the game to the C/ProgramFiles *** section. All 1stGens should be installed at the root of C/ (ie: C:/WoE)
  4. when you said Vampires, THIS is what came to mind:
  5. another example, without the TAE, something like this (Johar-Bahru's main rail yard) could be done, but it'd be so much work as to be near impossible
  6. we are talking about the Target Area Editor, right? And what exactly are you trying to do? More, specific information is required. Also, which terrain are we speaking about? (as most 3rd party terrains have already been "eye candied") This may be of some help, the "Old School" way. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to the images in this thread
  7. that's just the kind of information that makes this game the best! From the Real People (tm) that did it in Real Life (tm)
  8. Hey Slack Asses......

you're Jeep's unfinished Dave... Where' the M-134 that should be on the top!!!????
  9. View File F4F-4 Wildcat, VF-41, MTO "Torch" Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, VF-41 'Operation Torch' Skin & Ini Pak for SF/SFG/WoV/WoE WW2: MTO Installs =Version 2.0 - will update and REPLACE the original from 2005= This package contains a new skin, and some minor data & cockpit ini mods for Pasko's F4F-4 "Wildcat". It is designed to TOTALLY replace the VF-41 version released several years ago. The skin represents VF-41 "Red Rippers" based aboard USS RANGER during Operation Torch, the Invasion of North Africa (well, actually, we all know it was Morocco and Tunisia, but why quibble???) This new skin, like the other Wildcat skins I've done recently, is from my home-grown template, with all redrawn panel, rivet and other details. It has been resized to 1024x, so has a bit more detail than the older 512 version. All new decals, of the correct font and size have been created for the Modex and BuNums. The BuNums ARE for -4 Wildcats, but I was unable to acertain WHICH exact numbers were used by VF-41 during Torch. So, consider them as 'generic'; accurate, but generic <grin> For those that haven't updated their MTO install's F4F-4, all the inis and sounds from the PTO Wildcat Upgrade are included; new data, cockpit and Main ini --so make sure you follow the instructions below!!! The cockpit ini makes use of a new WW2 N-3 gunsight tga. Like it's PTO brother, the canopy has been switched to an animation key (shift/0). The wingfold stays the same as originally issued; you use the bomb-bay control key (cntrl/O). As always, all the lights have been updated with accurate running, formation and landing lights. Also, the landing gear retraction sound is now the 'rachet' noise, as heard in the PTO upgrades. A new WoE-style 'carrier deck' hangar screen, JUST for this mod is included (as it uses the VF41 skin) As always, it's reccomended you unzip this package to a temp folder or your desktop, or somewhere's else that's easy to find to gain access to the rest of this readme for full, detailed install instructions. 10. in the "Firefighter" mod, there's an updated data ini with a corrected FM and other tweeks. nice job!
  11. nicely done btw, the "dropping decals' issue was caused by one of the 2013 patches. The fix was to simply delete the old data ini , and extract a new one -if one wished-. Then, of course, copy/pasting the relevant sections to have the operating canopy and wing fold.
  12. AltD twice. also, check to see if the HUDData.ini is in the /Flight folder. Easiest fix is simply rename it, or open it and look for this line(s): [Debug] //DisplayDebug=FALSE DisplayDebug=TRUE set it to FALSE

New Guinea, WW2 PTO Terrain for SF2 (Ver.3.5) 8/6/2014 - For SF2, Any & All (Full-4/5 Merged Reccomended) = For Adventures in the South West Pacific = **This is Version 3.5, with additional goodies. It's designed to replace all eariler versions. If you have the other versions, you can either unzip and drop directly over your existing, or delete the older versions, and just use this one. No harm will befall you if you just Overwrite your existing New Guinea WW2 Terrain. Really.** Be advised, this NEW terrain folder still retains the same name as all the originals, "NewGuinea2". There many new GroundObject and Terrain Objects included in this terrain mod. All (if not most of) other Ground Objects you should already have. Those from the v.3 are still included. New Target Areas have been added . See the "Notes" section for the change list. The LimitedNations statement is set to TRUE, allowing only for 'regional powers', but has been expaned to include RNZAF and ML-KNIL forces. The terrain also makes use of the 'AllowedDates" statement, preventing use BEFORE January 1942. Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life ™ courses, or be placed in their Real Life ™ locations. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification. Some cities exist only as 'named places'. As is reccomended, unzip this archive to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you -read- the document through after unzipping, but =BEFORE= installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. Please also read the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been changed slightly to reflect a change in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post. Good Hunting! wrench Kevin Stein --- Changes: Version 3.5 uploaded 8/13/2014
  20. SF2(NA) WW2 PTO Naval Units

    Version

    574 downloads

WW2 PTO Naval Units -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (ONLY) = *Note: in particular, these are designed for use in a WW2 PTO mods folder built =FROM= the SF2NA.exe. No others seem to have whatever coding is needed (at least in my testing) for proper CVBG formation. Be advised, it will absolutely =NOT= work in 1stGens.* Most of these ships are mods of Hinchbrooks's or Geo's, reflagged and slightly tweeked. Some you may have already, as they've been used on several terrain mods of mine for The Pacific War ™. These will replace them. Also included is Grinch's original Fletcher DD, that causes NO seizures in SF2/SF2NA. I'm no Naval Archetiect, so "those that know", please make any needed corrections and upload! When discoverable, armor values reflect Real Life ™. Names lists have been created for all. REMINDER: if you have these ships already, you may want to back up the originals, as this pack WILL completly replace/overwrite them!!!! REMEMBER: For the most part, these are "stand in" ships!!! and may not reflect the full capabilities of their Real Life ™ counterparts. (Or, in some cases, even look like them) Unless otherwise indicated, all ships were originally created by Hinchbrook a loooooooong time ago. This pack contains naval units for the US Navy, Royal Navy (BPF) and Imperial Japanese Navy. Essex Class CV (SCB-125) - by 3W; stock carrier. Yes, I know it's the wrong deck shape. This Modded data.ini allows for WW2 usage -IT HAS NO DEFENSIVE ARMAMENTS!!!-and -THAT- needs fixing!!! Akakazie class DD - total stand in! based on Geo' Kriegsmarine DD Nagara Class CL - mod of Hinch' Foch Unryu Class CV - mod of HMS Eagle Zuiho Class CV - tweeked version of Hinch's orginal Ise class BB - from HInch Fuso class BB - from Hinch Nagato Class BB - HInch Fletcher Classs DD - Grinch's original release, with some SF2NA tweeks. Does =NOT= cause game to lock/crash. Useable in all eras. Cleveland Class CA - "CL-83" from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc) Atlanta Class CL - from KAW mod, by YeYe (iirc) New Orleans CA (aka 'Astoria') Enterprise6 - ???? (aka: Yorktown Class CV) from the original PTO WW2 terrains releases Indepencence Class CVL (mod of Zuhio) Casablanca Class CVE (Hinchs' MAC) Benson class DD (USN_DD) New York Class (Texas) Nevada Class BB Tenessee Class BB HMS Victorious CV Renown Class BB (aka: "Repulse") Tribal Class DD (rebuilt from Daring) Leander/Dido class CL - rebuilt from Foch Make sure you have the WW2 Nations ini that includes the IJN. It's available at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/13095-ww2-nations-formations-inis/ It should be noted at this time, I am NOT a Naval Archeitect, and pretty much all these ships need SOMEBODY to go through them and add the 2ndary and Tertiary AAA batteries - expecially the Cruisers, Battleships, and stand-in Destroyers. Included are the ships sounds wavs, and my SoundList.ini. If you have an extracted soundlist, just edit your existing one to add the 2 sounds. It's also advisable to have the WW2 Guns pak, as it includes the Naval Artillery. It's available at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/13268-guns-pak-for-ww2-mods-folders/ However, some new guns ARE included for the RN boats (by YeYe). Some terrain mods that allow for CVBG usage will be released as soon as I finish testing, and making sure all the original defects (unflattened airfields, etc) are corrected. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. Where possible, and if I still had them, original readmes are included. Reminder: a lot of these vessels are really old (2004/05), and therefore do NOT have multiple main gun installations or secondary/tertiary batteries; those that do, have been jiggered into being, and =DO= need further tweeking. Due to their age, "they are as they are". Of course, if someone wants to build new ones.....<grin> Calm Winds, and Following Seas! With thanks to ALL our Shipbuilders!! wrench kevin stein
