the issue is a file called "AircrcraftObject.ini" rename it, and see if the Default.ini (located in the /Controls folder -this is the file that stores your stick/keyboard functions) returns to normal -

WIP Mega THREAD!
Wrench replied to ErikGen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
I guess terrains count, it they're "in the works" Finally reached the region I've been dreading ... but, through the use of "special" tiles, at least the Red River and the city are MUCH closer to Real Life then in the stock map. Mind you, the river tiles are the wrong color, but I'm sure NOT going to do new ones!! Mind you, it's a WW2 map, but has lots of expansion slots for the 1960s and beyond -

NA, as far as I recall, is Win7/8 only. Can't remember the exact reasons, but it may have something to do with the shaders used on the IcelandNA terrain. There may have been a work around, but I don't recall it. -

I'd recommend spending some time in our SF2 Knowledge Base. This thread below is about the Mods Folder http://combatace.com/topic/62302-what-is-the-mod-folder/ and welcome! -
Somebody refresh my memory... there's 3 mission lst files in each of the various "flying" folders (Train, Combat, Battle), one each for Rebel and Imperial, and the main Mission. Which, iirc, should have ALL listed in numerical sequence. What I don't remember is, when adding them to the Rebs and Imps, does one follow that sequence, just picking up where they break example: you have the stock , missions, numbered 0-30., then add another group of Rebel mission (31-40). A group of Imperial mission, 41-60, and so forth. in the Rebel.lst, are they numbered like 0 30 for stock 31-40 for an add on 61-90 for another add on (assuming the aforementioned 41-60 are Imps only) I just can't remember!! I've got something like 1500-1700 mission converted from the originals (old XW and T/F -- including ALL the original Tours from both game) plus this version has the DSP adding more ships So, can anyone remember how this works?? On my old machine (long ago XP) I remember having them all showing. Now, not so much! thanks!

SF2 WW2 PTO P-47N, Ini, Skin/Decal Update Pak 10/28/2014 -- Something for the WW2 PTO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = **Note: this mod is to be applied to Russ's "P-47N V.2 Final Pak", available at the following URL: http://combatace.com/files/file/13202-p-47n-157z/ If you don't have, you should get it!!** These skins are for WW2 PTO use ONLY! The represent P-47Ns as seen in the last months of the war. Revamped/Updated skins and decals included are: 19th FS 333rd FS 464th FS (replaces the MeatChopper skin & decal folders) 463rd FS (now with some nose arts) Included as well are revamped loadout and data inis. The data ini contains a slightly refined FM, but is not 100% perfect (although MUCH better than before!), and may need further tweeking by experts. The loadout ini fixes a missed station. A backup copy of the original data ini is included, so you don't need to back up your original. You also get a NEW box-art style loading screen. New plane-in-squadron ID numbers, and serials number decals (where used) were created for those using them. The PIS numbers follow the correct sequencing. The serials, while correct for the mark, should be considered 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft with the squadrons depicted. Decal randomization is TRUE. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!! To eliminate confusion, You'll be renaming, moving or deleting some folder, as these will replace them. So, before installing, unzip this archive and read the Install Instructions. Good Hunting!! Don't mess with the Tornados .. they've had loadout issues for years. You WILL fuck things up if you mess with them. Leave them alone. Trust me on this -

Unable to view "fakepilot" made objects from cockpit?
Wrench replied to ace888's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
oh, yes they do!!! the "fake pilot" always goes to 0.0,0.0,0.0 the SEAT is the object that get moved around. As the "seat" model is the goodie being added. you need BOTH entries for the item to work. I assume it's that IRST looking thing near the windscreen? If that's the case, you most likely will NOT see it from the cockpit. Ever. Maybe with the "no cockpit' view, but probably not. remember how the position coordinates are stated: left/right Fore/Aft Up/Down in that order -

given the affiliatiions with the US, pre Castro, I think they would have gone back to the old insignia (which BTW, the decals for already exist in the object cats & the Nation as well. look to Nation097) -

Formosa - WW2 PTO Terrain for SF2
Wrench posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: Formosa - WW2 PTO Terrain for SF2 File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 27 October 2014 File Category: Full Terrains Formosa - WW2 PTO Terrain for SF2 8/6/2014 - For SF2, Any & All (Full 5 Merged Reccomended) = For Adventures in the Far Western Pacific = This terrain is a rebuild of a very old 1stGen "Cold War" version. There was no readme with it, and I've not been able to find who originally created it. It has been converted to a WW2 terrain, representing the situation from November, 1944 through the War's End (although, in Real Life, the air campaing didn't start until January, 1945). For gaming purposes, northern Luzon is considered "secure", and USAAF units will be flying from airfields there. For the USN/BPF, there are SF2NA style "CV Stations" (hence the need for a Full-5 merged install, and the PTO mods folder built FROM the SF2NA exe) in the Eastern Pacific, and South China Sea. There is no station for Japanese Naval units as the Imperial Navy, for the most part, had ceased to exist. There many new GroundObject and Terrain Objects included in this terrain mod. All (if not most of) the other Ground Objects you should already have. The LimitedNations statement is set to TRUE, allowing only for 'regional powers'. The AllowedMission= statement is active, as there are =NO= Ground Attack routes (ie: CAs missions) The terrain also makes use of the 'AllowedDates" statement, preventing use BEFORE November, 1944. But there are plenty of truck and shipping routes, and LOTS of places for STRIKE missions. *Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, or be placed in their Real Life locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification. Some cities exist only as 'named places'. Where possible (and discoverable), original Japanese style city/place names are used, with the more modern Chinese as well in parenthesis. While the correct types of targets are placed within the various cities, they may not match their Real Life positions due to Height Field and Tile constraints. Also, this terrain is =NOT= full scale. * As is ALWAYS reccomended, unzip this archive to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you -READ- the document through after unzipping, but =BEFORE= installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. Please also read the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been changed slightly to reflect a change in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post. Happy Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file
