  1. FE2 Mod Question

Geezer, do you have a list of what's what?? I can ID most of them but a couple of the IJAAF/IJN are eluding me I've got: BF2C Gladiator B-10 A-17 Condor Ki-5 bomber A5M Claude one I think is a D2M IJN carrier based torpedo (just below the Gladiator) another possibly a Babs? Sonia? or Mary? some of the early Ki-??? fighters are stumping me! thanks! ps: they look good, even in the renders!
  2. yeah baby! get to reuse the decals I'd done for the DAT Tiffy update
  3. thanks Rends!! that would have been MY question!!
  4. FE2 Mod Question

(cough) China (cough) http://combatace.com/files/file/14456-ww2-eastern-china-terrain-for-sf2/ hopefully, those models can be ported to SF2. Love that Curtis Condor!!

by any odd chances, did any of the mods you installed contain something called "AircraftObject.ini"?? It'll be residing in the root of the /Objects folder. IF so, rename it so the game won't see it. then, get rid of the fiddled-with default ini, and let the game create a "stock" one. Then see if they keystrokes return to normal
  6. so, we're getting a 1B. What about a 1A, with the 'car door' ??
  7. yes, we know where they are. try converting to jpg, or better yet, open them in you imaging software, like PS, and take a screenshot, "save as ... " jpg and attach. Thusly (see below) also, those are 512x512 -- you're NOT going to get them any better, unless you double their size and repaint every single item on them
  8. the less "things" that are needed from the DAT, the better for the general community overall. Learn to "make do" without them, or find Freeware alternatives. and, you're thinking is incorrect. that model is very much "off" , even for a Turbo Mentor. those stab extensions are WAAAAYYY off scale (and ONLY on Turbo Mentors). I'd hate to see if there are any shadow artifacts, as you have shadows turned off. There's several within walking distance (or used to be - they may have left) of my home, here at Santa Monica Airport, so I know whereof I speak. To say nothing of Bonazas and Debonairs
  9. some time spent in BOTH the SF/Wo* and SF2 Knowledge Bases will pay off greatly in the end. ===== while the screens are different, the "basic" instructions are pretty much the same from Skypat's 1stGen Extractor: http://combatace.com/topic/32706-using-skypats-cat-extraction-tool/ BUT you MUST have the latest 3rd Wire extractor (the one you've shown above)
  10. shouldn't it have borts starting with "XL" ???
  11. if you look in the downloads section, you'll find 3 squadron of RAAF Mirages I did for the stock 3W M.3. Serials are 100% historical for each. Easily adapted for use on the TMF one ------- the twist of the story is, less than 2 weeks after I release MY mod of the stock 3W into a RAAF Mirage, TK released his Mirage III0 DLC. I was, as they say, slightly annoyed. But, in less than 10 minutes, adapted MY decals and skins to the DLC -------- Linky: http://combatace.com/files/file/11967-dassault-mirage-iiio-raaf/
  12. Paulopanz anniversary!

WAAAAA HOOOOO!!! another one of us crosses the half-century mark!! Have a GREAT day , my friend!!!
  13. someone was asking about the DLC Su-9, so here's a screenie of TK's stovepipe. must have stary's excellent cockpit for it too!

don't forget, ww1 aircraft don't have wheel brakes the "Cnt/I' acts as your blip switch (sorta)
  15. or, like I mentioned to Fubs over the phone, create a 'clone' of the ship, and rename BOTH folders -- one for Mearsk and one for NedLloyd, thereby creating TWO new vessals

File Name: SF2 WW2 MTO Lockheed P-38J, 1st FG File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 21 March 2014 File Category: P-38 SF2 WW2 MTO Lockheed P-38J, 1st FG 3/1/2014 -- Something for the WW2 MTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This is a 'remod' package, fully revamping some earlier 1stGen skins by Gocad for Wolf257's P-38J Lightning. This is the full aircraft package, with all the goodies included (weapons, pilot, sounds, cockpit, etc). This package represents the 1st FG during late 1944 through war's end, as based in Italy. This is all 3 squadrons: 27th FS 71st FS 94th FS All new skins (now with rivets!!) are in jpg format. Each squadron has the correct plane-in-squadron numbering sequence, and squadron color flashes. All aircraft use a 'pool' of Serial numbers, and they should be considered 'generic' in nature, but ARE for the model variant depicted. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Each skin is represented by the WW2 squadron patch, as seen on the Loadout screen selection drop-down menu. When in game, you'll see: P-38J Lightning (W) The W is for Wolf257. This will diferentiate this P-38J for any other you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them! Good Hunting! easy enough to be safe: make a backup copy * open the data ini, and "save as..." call it ori-*terrain name*_data.ini then, you can edit with impunity, as you have the original as a backup *the first thing one learns is modding SF/FE series: make a backup of the ini being edited
  20. Esc in First Eagles I

check the shader statements in all terrains' data ini ... very similar to what was happening in SF/Wo* and SF2 some info here: http://combatace.com/topic/34221-running-any-thirdwire-sim-in-windows-vista-by-usafmtl-column5-jtin/
  21. File Name: SF2 WW2 PTO P-38F/G Lightning Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 20 March 2014 File Category: P-38 SF2 WW2 PTO P-38F/G Lightning Pak 3/20/2014 -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = *There is a distinct possibility that this mod will =NOT= work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs, due to the excessive modifications made to fit them into the SF2 environment.* Mods/reskins/redecaling for Wolf257's P-38F aircaft. This pak replaces my SF/Wo* 1stGen 'generic' PTO P-38F. It is designed to represent P-38F/G model Lightnings as seen in the SoWesPac Theatre, in particular the Solomons Islands. The aircraft carries the markings of the 339th FS, 347th FG as seen in late 1942 through late 43. This is pretty representative of all early Lightings in theatre at this time frame. This is the full aircraft, and is complete with everything needed (except bombs & guns; you should have these already). The skin is in jpg format (now! with rivets!), Decal Randomization is TRUE. Damage textures are DDS format. When In Game, you'll see P-38F Lightning (W) The (W) indicates this as a Wolf257 aircraft, and will differentiate it from any other P-38Fs you may (or may not) have. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Remember -- these are very old models, so they "are as they is". All original readmes, when discoverable, are included. Good Hunting! Wrench Kevin Stein Click here to download this file
  22. File Name: SF2 WW2 RAF SEAC Douglas Dakota Skin Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 20 March 2014 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 RAF SEAC Douglas Dakota Skin Pak 3/20/2014 -- Something for the WW2 CBI players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged, + Expansion Pak 1 (REQUIRED!) = *You must have SF2:I Exp Pak 1, as this mod REQUIRES the stock 3W C-47* This pak contains Skin/Decal mods for the Stock 3rd Wire C-47A, representing RAF Dakota's in WW2, in the India/Burma (SEAC) theatre. None of my research has turned up an information if they were camoflagued, so the aircraft is in standard OD/Grey. Supplied are 26 plane-in group letters and RAF serial number decals. The serials, while correct for the Dakota, represent no particular unit and should be considered 'generic' in nature. There are NO squadron codes. Decal randomization is TRUE Also supplied is an updated/edited/adjusted C-47A User list, with many corrected dates. *NOTE: this skin pak is for RAF Daks in SEAC =ONLY=!!! Read: your CBI mods folder.* This little mod comes about as I'm sick and tired of seeing Dakota's parked on my terrains, with incorrect WW2 theatre markings (while not perfect even WITH this, they're a LOT closer!) As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please =READ= them BEFORE installing this mod!!! Happy Landings!
