SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IVF (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me.** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufighter, that recreate the Mk.IVF (radar equiped NF) as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from mid-1942 onwards. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included (pretty much!). Those users with access, =WILL= be transfering the lod from a seperate DAT download of the Beaufighter TF.X. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufighterMk10_R8.LOD (dated 7/19/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need this, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. It should be noted that we're using the TF Mk X lod as the basis for this aircraft. This mod makes use of the 'hide/remove component trick' to replicate the thimble-nosed AI Mk.VIII equipped NighterFighter/Intruder variant. The skin included herein is for a UK (ETO) based squadron ONLY!! It is: No. 604 Sqdn "County of Middlesex" The skin is completly new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and remains in bmp format. New decals were created for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the unit(s) depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Colors are FS matched as close as possible. All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Any 1stGen Hangar and/or Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. A new weapon is included, the RP-3 25# AP rocket, converted from Raven's Hurricane Mk.IV's. It is now a seperate weapon (not podded), and will NOT conflict with the original. Good for trucks and ships, ya know? The FM, based off the Beaufighter in the Wings Over Africa Total Conversion Mod, may need further small adjustments. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. SF2 WW2 SDKFZ-251 Half-Track Mod -- Something for the WW2 ETO/MTO/Eastern Front players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This pack contains a modification of Geo's German Army Sdkfz-251 "Hanomag" Half-Track. Even though the full vehicle is here (and an extra 'snow camo' skin, still zipped), it's mostly an ini tweek. What I've done is change it's GroundObjectRole= from TANK to TRANSPORT. This will allow the Game Engine ™ to use them in ARMED_RECON missions. But beware... It'll bite back!!! As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. Please READ them FIRST!!! Good Hunting!! wrench kevin stein

  6. From the Readme: A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to completly Navalize it.
  7. they return no matter what, unless you leave a few of the "modern" aircraft in (couple for each side). in fact, for my WW2 installs, I haven't even bothered removeing the modern ground objects. AND... the original stuff hasn't reappeared since line jan/feb
  8. yes, the existing ones are DAT Ed, that's great news!! the existing ones are (no suffix) C E F (with underbelly cannon) G (this in an NJ)
  9. sure, why not!!?? (actually made one and repainted it, as seen above, into MediumSeaGrey)
  10. SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2)

SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2) = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!!) = *Note: this aircraft will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Games are ANY patch level. This aircraft was (re)designed and (re)built and (re)tested in SF2NA and Full5 Merged installs* A brand new, replacement aircraft for the previous 1stGen conversions. Through the hard work of several, people, being named here FIRST, instead of further down in the Credits (well, they're listed there, too, of course!) Zur (the Great and Powerful) for giving me the uncompleted MAX files, and RussoUK for finishing and polishing the LOD for SF2 useage. You guys ROCK!! This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. Like the original SF2 pak, it contains all the skin/decal sets I could find, combined into one big lump. This package is designed to REPLACE, in total, any and ALL other previouse FJ-3M Furys. Skins included in the pak are: VF-53 from ?? VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57 VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57 VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956 VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956 VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish) VMF-333 from ??? Skins are a mixture of both bmp and JPG, and Decal randomization is also set to TRUE. Damage textures are in DDS format (same as the Sabre). The aircraft is now bump mapped, for that nice metalic look. A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to completly Navalize it. The canopy, now functional, opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0. AT this time, wingfold in NOT functional. The data ini statements refelct this for carrier on-deck parking. Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar- ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen. The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, as per the July 2012 patch level. No weapons are included; all stock items are called out. The new drop tanks are built into the aircraft's LOD, ala SF2 3W birds. The weapons data IS included, of course. Sounds are all reused from the KAW Sabres, as is the NEW cockpit (also from the KAW F-86F) As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! <g> Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein
  11. you don't need the cat files in the /Terrains main folder. They stay down in the 'core files' section. the game will automatically find them. what other terrains do you have for ETO, and where are they're folders?? (odd to see Okinawa in an ETO centroc mods folder!!!) edit: i just noticed the 2nd Terrain folder ... it should be /Terrains - plural
  12. and that, ladies and gents, pretty much sums it up
  13. the terrains in my ETO mods folder is pretty sparse ... just what needed for that part of the world
  14. it sound fine for me. you can always swap out for the old "B25Engine.wav"
  15. ok, somebody refersh me... is it Liters, Galoons, killograms or pounds of fuel in the tank?? what I've got is an aircraft with a total of 682 liters, internal tankage, and I keep getting bingo calls well below the range specified in the data ini. (which I've actually cut down a bit) NormalMissionRadius=750 MaxMissionRadius=850 the BSFC seem ok...for a Napier Sabre... here's the statements from the data ini:
  16. cool! thanks! I'll check out this here tank, and see what gots!
  17. new FJ-3ms are nearly ready for upload. proper lod (minus folding wings however. that'll be later on)
  18. cool! I"ll give that a try obviously, each tank gets half that (245.96) btw, Raven, in you abundence of spare time (!ha!), I wonder if you could whip out a 'special' 44 gallon RAF tank, one with a short plyon attached? I know it's not even close to historical..but the Tiffy hasn't got ANY pylons for bombs/rockets, and I really don't want to 'fake pilot' them like I did the FW-190s (although, it is an option; I just reduce the rockets to 6 instead of 8/and or mount a rocked on the plyon) screenie of aircraft in question (note the emptyness between the tank and wing)
  19. or simply just not use a decal .. it's a drone, designed to die in a spectacular, proper military manner
  20. no it cant this was discussed (read: beat to death) about 5/6 years ago with the 1st Flankers were released. The thread may still be in the archives someplace

So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included. Those users with access, will be transfering the lod from either a seperate DAT download of the Beaufort or from their WoA game install/mods folder. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufortMk1_R3.LOD (dated 8/7/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need that, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. It should be noted the Mk1_R3.lod is the same as that's available in their WoA mod. End Users that have the original aircraft, either from WoA or seperate downloads are advised =NOT= to install this package over an existing aircraft folder. See "To Install" for full explicit instructions. The skins included herein are for UK (ETO) based squadrons ONLY!! They are: No. 42 Squadron, Costal Command (code:AW) No. 217 Squadron, Costal Command (code: MW) Both in standard Temperate Day Scheme for the time period (dark earth/dark green). 42 Squadron carriers Sky unders, and 217's unders are Special Night. The skins have been partly repainted, and remain in their bmp format. New decals were created as needed for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the units depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Weapons (Torpedos) ARE included; the gun & RAF bombs you should have already. It should be noted there are 2 versions of the Mk.XII torp -- one standard, and one experimental SF2NA style "cruise missile". It set up for the standard version; the NA style is for other modders to experimentate with. Testing was done in my ETO mods folder built from the SF2NA exe, and I've noticed no real difference (other than the CM torp tends to miss and explode beyond the target) See the "Notes" section for operational instructions for (semi) proper torpedo attack profile. All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. 23. the 110s use the same 300 liter tank as the Bf-109s and FW-190. It was pretty much the "standard" luftwaffe tank
