  1. on the Fresco, you move their position, in the SeatPosition entry edit: CRAP!!! I thought I'd converted it to "fake pilot" mounting!!! add that to my exceedingly looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong list of "things to fix" edit the attachmentposition, if uses them as a 'hardpoint' [iRM Pylons] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=1 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=0.0,-5.00,1.1 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=50.10 AllowedWeaponClass=EP AttachmentType=USAF,CHINA ModelNodeName=F6WP PylonMass=50 PylondragArea=0.08 LaunchRailNodeName= MinExtentPosition= MaxExtentPosition= red -fore/aft blue= up/down
  2. like I said, see how easy it is to creat full squadrons, by chaning ONE decal!! plane-in-group letters could use some 'adjustment', however for those that don't know, it looks like these skins are for FB.VI -that SHOULD have been stated in the release announcement

SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufighter Mk.1F and NF Mk.1F (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me. ** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufighter Mk.1F and NF Mk.1F (Radar equipped Nightfigher), as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from 1940 onwards. This is the first of several SF2 upgrade packages for the various Beaus they've produced. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else, minus guns, is included. This package contains 2 aircraft, as listed above, and below. Those users with access, will be transfering the lod from either a seperate DAT download of the Day fighter (Mk.1F) and Nightfigher (NF Mk.1F), or from their WoA game install/mods folder. REMEMBER - these are 2 different aircraft, with 2 very different LODs! This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufighterMk1_R8.LOD (dated 7/17/2005) and BeaufighterMk1F_R8.LOD (dated 7/16/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need them, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. It should be noted the Mk1_R8.lod is the same as that's available in their WoA mod. End Users that have the original aircraft, either from WoA or seperate downloads are advised =NOT= to install this package over an existing aircraft folder. See "To Install" for full explicit instructions. The skins included herein are, "new builds" that were previously unreleased anywhere. These are for UK (ETO) based squadrons ONLY!! They are: Beaufighter Mk.1F: No. 25 Squadron, circa 1940 in standard Day Scheme Beaufighter NF Mk.1F: No. 604 Squadron "County of Middlesex", circa late 1940, overall Special Night The skins from my Home Grown Template ™, and remain in their bmp format. New decals were created as needed for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the units depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Weapons (bombs) and guns are NOT included; you should have them already. All markings are decals; this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. The FM, based off the Beaus in the Wings Over Africa Total Conversion Mod, may need further small adjustments. But it flys fine for me! :) As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Especially the Notes section. All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein

  5. heheheheheee ... my Fresco AS was was the first thing that came to mind! The spacing, however, as the pylons are one lod, will be completely different on the Fagot. One can try, of course, but the wingspans are very different on the 15 vs the 17. as alternative is, again using the fake pilot method, adding each pylon seperatly, like I did on the "what if.." F-79 Manta and HP Perigrine Flying Wing fighters (yes, it's an Ho-229). They're off somewhere's in the What If downloads. Cocas built the pylons edit: and given the time frame, even in the what if world, a missle armed Fagot would prolly carry RS-2U Alkali-A (IR guided), but they're start year in 1960, near the end of the 15s service life. The RS-1U, even with it's 1956 start date is of no use, as it's a beam rider, and there's no radar nose lod (fake piloted) that fits either pasko's 15 or the 3W one.
  6. yup time for an upgrade, usafphantom2. check the SF2 downloads section, as I modded Raven's hurris (they are SUPERB!!!)
  7. well, RAF50 Bomb is incorrect. it's just plane RAF50. I should know, iirc, I built it. also, Hurricane Mk.1's ain't got no hardpoints. those didn't start appearing until the IIb series, 'HurriBomber', and later marks. and...the mass of the 44 gal tank is 187 kg if you'd told us at the start, WHICH aircraft (and who built it), those of us that know this stuff backwards and forwards, inside and out could've save a LOT of time and effort!! I'm also gonna guess that's NOT Raven's Mk.1 -- as it's data ini is named completely differently (meshes too)
  8. Iran-Iraq Terrain

    Version

    1,718 downloads

Iran-Iraq Terrain - For SF2, Full-4 Merged (or any with access to the Desert cat) - (Although Perfered Usage is as a Complete Stand-Alone Iran/Iraq War Mod) This is a complete and total rebuild of the Iran/Iraq terrain from oh, so long ago. The entire map has been retiled, using Polak's Desert Storm set (also with some updates) with the addition of rivers, more farms, cities and an major expansion of the target areas. Simply put, those that have or seen the original probably won't recognize the place!! Although designed with the 1980-88 War in mind, it can (with EXTENSIVE reworking) be made over for use for any time period, up to and including the Iraqi Invasion of Kuwait/Desert Shield (more in the "Notes" below). While many of the neighboring countries DO have (minimal) targets added, they are set as NEUTRAL, and have 0 value targets, as they are beyond the scope of the main focus of the map -- the Iran/Iraq War. However, the major airports ARE there, also NEUTRAL. MANY new tiles have been added, updating of some originals (to make them fit and look better), and LOTS of custom TODs for buildings and trees and such. Including ALL new river AND road tiles for all 3 types of terrain (desert, farm, mountain), with all the transitions. While not perfect, given game/terrain engine limitations, these changes make the region look more like it should. Unfortunately, however, some rivers and other terrain features are NOT replicated due to the height field display of the terrain, making it virtually impossible to do so. This is especially true for regions in Iran that are heavily mountainous; or have some other "oddities" due to airfield flattening. Roads may also NOT follow their actual paths. Other changes are to Runway 2 and Runway 3, that have been retextured to fully paved (no more FOD from dirt!!) It is also reccomened you have the Pasko's Ground Objects, and Kesselbrut's Vehicles Pak, the GAZ trucks, etc; in short any and all add-on SAMs, AAA, vehicles, ships, and whatnot from any and all other terrain mods. HOWEVER -- make sure said add-on objects are CORRECT for the theatre and timeframe. (SA-2, SA-3 and SA-6 for the big Iraqi SAMs -btw, 2 & 6s are stock items) While NOT all are included, some are. Wherever possible, I've tried to stick with stock, historic items. Several new, "nation specific" items ARE included. Aircraft are NOT. As to be expected, there are some Easter Eggs. Most are scattered around the map; some are actual historic World Heritage sites. While this can be used in a SF2 series (any), it is reccomended that it be used in a Stand-Alone Mods Folder dedicated to the Iran/Iraq War only. As it uses desert tile/terrain naming conventions, it points to the Desert.cat. As all tiles and most terrain objects are either stock or included, it should work with any of the stock Cats, =EXCEPTING= SF2:I's IsrealME. Use of that cat is =NOT= reccomended. It is highly reccomended that you READ this entire document through before installing this mod. If you don't, you're SURE to run into problems. And then, well, you know the drill. You get clowned on. Hard. As usual, the expansive "Notes and Other BS" section for clarifications, elaborations, explainations and general ramblings. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein
  9. do you have the source file? do you have and can use 3DS Max?? cause that's the only way how to. has to be fixed in max.
  10. in some of the mods I've been sitting on, many partly completed, for DAT Allied aircraft? In particular, for the ETO? I've been sitting on a buttload of stuff for a number of years since they went their own way; mostly for the Beaufighters (example screenie below), but for the Beaufort as well (although the torp is giving me some "issues" -both the standard type, and the NA-tweeked 'cruise missile torpedo') Many have partly completed skins, all need new decals, FM work and so forth. mind you, since not everyone can access their downloads to acquire the aircraft LODs, those that can't are left in the cold. But for those that can, whadda all think?? thanks!
  11. the mission tasking names, as seen in (almost) EVERY data ini are: CAP Sweep Intercept Escort CAS Strike Armed_Recon Anti_Ship Recon in LOADOUT INIS: AirToAir AirToAirLongRange Attack Strike Anti-Ship Recon that's all that's needed. The game engine ™ KNOWS what mission statement goes with what loadout. For example, Armed_Recon and CAS are classed the same: Attack AirToAirLongRange is SWEEP and ESCORT AirToAir is CAP it is NOT that diffucult to figure out! Also covered someplace in the 1stGen KB
  12. it don't work anymore ... sometime around the May/June/July 2012 patch, TK took that ability away from us. and screwed over several hundred hours of my terrain work ... as it's needed on about 5 or 6 terrains. I asked about 'getting it back' last year, but as I'm one of "the Big Name Game Modders", it was never answered. maybe you ask the question over there?? He seems to answer the "General Users"

SF2 WW2 ETO F-5B Recon Lightning Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = Mods to Wolf257's P-38J recreate the F-5B "Photo Lightning" as used in the ETO. This is a FULL aircraft pak, with all the trimmings. This pack conatains one USAAF F-5B, finished in "PRU Mauve" representing the 162nd Photo Recon Squadron, based in the UK. The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE, for the 6 serials I've given you. Like my other Lightning mods, several changes have been effected, they are listed in the 'ChangeLog', in the "Notes" section. Weapons (ok, drop tanks), pilot figures are included, and a NEW engine engine sound. A New SF2 style Hangar screen in included. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Wolfs original readmes, when discoverable, are included for historical purposes. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. "Get the Pictures"!! wrench kevin stein
  14. prolly, cause on the port side, the mesh is "closed", whereas on starborad, it's "open".
  15. and bristol brigands had a fairly short service life, while hte consoldated PB4Y-2 was still at work into the ealy 60s. I'd vote for Brigand
  16. that don't look like a tga issue, but more of a mesh issue, ala "decal bleed" caused by open meshes might help to actually KNOW what bird that is ... to me, it looks the Teledyne drone thingy as to posting decals, take the tgas, put them in a little folder, zip it up and attach it. Zips attachments are easy
  17. i'd reccomend a different name, in keeping with Vought's tradition of 'pirate' type names...
  18. Tarty mountains etc

SF2 WW2 ETO A-20G Pak (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me. ** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams A-20G Havoc light attack bomber, as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from 1943 through War's End. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else, minus guns and bombs, is included. Those users with access, will be transfering the lod from from a seperate DAT download of the A-20G. This mod has been built and tested with the A-20_Havoc-R4.LOD, dated 10/21/2005 from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need that, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. The skins from my Home Grown Template ™, and remain in their bmp format. New decals were created as needed for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the units depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Weapons (bombs) and guns are NOT included; you should have them already. The skins included herein are, "new builds" that were previously unreleased anywhere. They are: 645th Bomb Squadron, 410th Bomb Group (7X) 646th Bomb Squadron, 410th Bomb Group (8U) I chose the 410th BG, as they used their Havocs from later 43 until the war's end. They had started converting to A-26, but never fully converted by May 45. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. All the 1stGen Hangar and Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. Various inis may make use of the 'hide component' or the 'open cockpit' statements to make sure the cockpits are where they're supposed to be. This may prevent them for working in 1stGens at any patch level. 1st Gen End Users ™ can experiment on their own. The Canopy (ok, cockpit hatch) has been switched to the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The FM, while far better than the 2005 release, may need further small adjustments. But it flys fine for me! :) As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein
  21. Add this aircrft to the list: Typhoon IB
  22. yes, if given the requisite time -- as Real Life is f***ing me in the ass, what with the last 9 weeks being one medical catastrophe after another with my mother -- you'll have whats shown in the thread. As there's no computer, or net access at her house ... well, you get the picture. I am taking my old (and I mean OLD) single-core over there so I can contiue Photoshop work, but the machine can't run the games skins will use decals for all markings, and many squadrons will be easily created by changing the SCode decal -- i won't be doing PTO, as Capun and Co are working on their all inclusive PTO mod; we must wait for them to release it, so we can see what's what for whom. We also need to see if they're creating new lods, said lods that may use DDS format skins (this is explained in the A-20G release notes, inside the zip) of course, NOW would be a good time to download their Beaus; theres' 5 or 6 variants, and have them 'read to go' when I get to releasing the individual aircraft mod packs
