  3. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X (DAT) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 22 May 2013 File Category: Other SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufighter TF Mk.X (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me.** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufighter, that recreate the TF Mk.X in both it's iterations. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included (pretty much!). Those users with access, =WILL= be transfering the lods from a seperate DAT download of the Beaufighter TF Mk.X and Beaufighter Mk.10. ReMeMbEr: two different aircraft, 2 different lods, 2 seperate downloads from their site. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufighterMk10_R8.LOD (dated 7/19/2005) and BeaufighterTFX_R8.LOD (dated 7/16/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You WILL need BOTH of these, to copy/paste into these aircraft's folder. These are 2 different aircraft, with 2 different LODs This pacakge contains 2 (almost) complete aircraft. I've split the Mk.X into Early and Late versions. Included herein are for UK (ETO) based squadrons =ONLY=!! You'll get: TF MK.X (Early -no dorsal fin, no radar) Coastal Command: No. 143 Squadron No. 236 Squadron No. 254 Squadron -all North Coates Strike Wing No. 455 Squadron RAAF, ANZAC Strike Wing, (w/Invasion Stripes) TF Mk.X (Late, -with ASV thimble nose and dorsal fin -consider this a "TorBeau") No. 143 Squadron, Coastal Command, North Coates SW The skins are completly new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and remains in bmp format. New decals were created for Squadron Code letters, serials, plane-in-group letters and others. Note: 455 Squadron uses a different pattern for their Squadron Code/Plane-in-group letters. The PSD template is in the /D subfolder for those wishing to create other squadrons of the ANZAC Strike Wing. The serials are pooled, and are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the unit(s) depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Colors are FS matched as close as possible. When possible, the Squadron Crest is used for the 'paint chip' on the loadout screen. All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Hangar and/or Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. Also included, is a new "twin bomb rack" for the centerline station. The other bombs and guns you should already have. The FM, based off the Beaufighter in the Wings Over Africa Total Conversion Mod, may need further small adjustments. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. It is HIGHLY suggested you unzip this archive, and READ the install instructions BEFORE installing this mod. So you know EXACTLY what to do.. 5. in the long run, it would prolly be easier to build a whole new one from scratch
  6. what about adapting decals from the TMF Tomcat??? or from any of our existing 3W tomcat downloads. (making new decals is something we ALL hate!! )
  7. the stock ones (non Kitty dlc) would be stored in objectdatacats. 026, iirc
  8. as many know, we're working on a new Spitfire Mk V, and there's something very strange happening with the newest lod Cocas and I are at a loss as to WHAT's causing this "oddity". On the external view, the left inner wing is perfectly visiable (gear up or down -makes no difference) From the cockpit, when looking left, the inner wing disappeares!!! (see screenies below) all 4 wing secions are ShowFromCockpit=TRUE. landing gear HideGearNodes is FALSE I've looked at the cockpit ini, and nothing strikes me as being off. I don't think it;s any kind of clipping issue == nothing is modded in the FLightengineini or viewlists or anywhere else. the older lod that this replaced didn't have this issue. anyone have ANY idears???? thanks!!
  9. yes, the cowling needs to be 'tighter' moving forward, and the spinner pointer. hopefuly, we'll get that taken care of!! interesting to see on Mk.V in early temperate day scheme!! never seen that before (thought they were all gray/green)
  10. you guys are frakking geinuses!!! when raven said "misspelling", I went back to the new OUT, and found the names had been changed!! changed them to match the new OUT, and viola!! now, just have to hide the external windscreen framing from teh cockpit view... thanks my brothers!!
  11. nope other than use it in ONLY in NA. (or an NA built from mods folder). something to do with NA only coding that's not present in any other exe, even full 5 merged of course, now we have to ask WHICH version ... my original or eburgers?
  12. looks like I didn't finish them .. left in hanging in Feb, this year. now, these are only MR1, withOUT the refueling probe. I don't know if the other was ever released..
  13. I thought I'd reupped them....??? guess I must've forgot gimme a couple of days

SF2 WW2 ETO Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IVF (DAT) = For SF2 (Full4/5 Merged RECCOMENDED!) **This mod -MAY- work in 1stGen game installs. But this has not/cannot be tested by me.** This pak contains mods for the Dev A-Teams Bristol Beaufighter, that recreate the Mk.IVF (radar equiped NF) as seen in Western Europe (ETO) from mid-1942 onwards. This is a semi-complete aircraft mod, and as per DAT directives, the aircraft lod is =NOT= included. So, those users that cannot access the DAT downloads, you're advised to skip this, as it's of no use to you. Everything else is included (pretty much!). Those users with access, =WILL= be transfering the lod from a seperate DAT download of the Beaufighter TF.X. This mod has been built and tested with the BeaufighterMk10_R8.LOD (dated 7/19/2005) from their WW2 Aircraft Downloads section. You =WILL= need this, to copy/paste into THIS aircraft's folder. It should be noted that we're using the TF Mk X lod as the basis for this aircraft. This mod makes use of the 'hide/remove component trick' to replicate the thimble-nosed AI Mk.VIII equipped NighterFighter/Intruder variant. The skin included herein is for a UK (ETO) based squadron ONLY!! It is: No. 604 Sqdn "County of Middlesex" The skin is completly new, from my Home Grown Template ™, and remains in bmp format. New decals were created for serials, plane-in-group letters and others. The serials are 'generic' in nature, as they represent no particular aircraft within the unit(s) depicted, but ARE for the model variant represented. Colors are FS matched as close as possible. All fuselage markings are decals (wing roundels remain painted on); this will allow super easy creation of other squadrons by simply creating a new SCode or **(2letter) decal, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Any 1stGen Hangar and/or Loading screens were either rebuilt to SF2-spec, or created new for this package. They are in jpg format, and fit SF2 styling. Damage textures are new, in DDS format. A new weapon is included, the RP-3 25# AP rocket, converted from Raven's Hurricane Mk.IV's. It is now a seperate weapon (not podded), and will NOT conflict with the original. Good for trucks and ships, ya know? The FM, based off the Beaufighter in the Wings Over Africa Total Conversion Mod, may need further small adjustments. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. PLEASE read them!!! All the original DAT readmes are included, for historical and ownership/copyright purposes. SF2 WW2 SDKFZ-251 Half-Track Mod -- Something for the WW2 ETO/MTO/Eastern Front players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This pack contains a modification of Geo's German Army Sdkfz-251 "Hanomag" Half-Track. Even though the full vehicle is here (and an extra 'snow camo' skin, still zipped), it's mostly an ini tweek. What I've done is change it's GroundObjectRole= from TANK to TRANSPORT. This will allow the Game Engine ™ to use them in ARMED_RECON missions. But beware... It'll bite back!!! As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. 18. From the Readme: A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to completly Navalize it.
  19. they return no matter what, unless you leave a few of the "modern" aircraft in (couple for each side). in fact, for my WW2 installs, I haven't even bothered removeing the modern ground objects. AND... the original stuff hasn't reappeared since line jan/feb
  20. yes, the existing ones are DAT Ed, that's great news!! the existing ones are (no suffix) C E F (with underbelly cannon) G (this in an NJ)
  21. sure, why not!!?? (actually made one and repainted it, as seen above, into MediumSeaGrey)

SF2 NAA FJ-3M Fury (Ver.2) = For SF2, (Full 5 Merged RECCOMENDED!!) = *Note: this aircraft will NOT work in SF/Wo* 1stGen Games are ANY patch level. This aircraft was (re)designed and (re)built and (re)tested in SF2NA and Full5 Merged installs* A brand new, replacement aircraft for the previous 1stGen conversions. Through the hard work of several, people, being named here FIRST, instead of further down in the Credits (well, they're listed there, too, of course!) Zur (the Great and Powerful) for giving me the uncompleted MAX files, and RussoUK for finishing and polishing the LOD for SF2 useage. You guys ROCK!! This is the full, compiled package of Zur/Column5's FJ-3M Fury. Like the original SF2 pak, it contains all the skin/decal sets I could find, combined into one big lump. This package is designed to REPLACE, in total, any and ALL other previouse FJ-3M Furys. Skins included in the pak are: VF-53 from ?? VF-62 from USS Essex, ATG-201 during the Beirut Crisis VF-73 from USS Randolph, circa 1956/57 VF-84 from USS Forrestall, crica 1956/57 VF-142 from USS Hornet, 1956 VF-211 from USS BonHomme Richard, circa 1956 VMF-312 (actually an FJ-3 in Natural Metal, circa 1955ish) VMF-333 from ??? Skins are a mixture of both bmp and JPG, and Decal randomization is also set to TRUE. Damage textures are in DDS format (same as the Sabre). The aircraft is now bump mapped, for that nice metalic look. A new FM, is based off Fubar's work on the KAW Sabres. It may need futher fine tuning to completly Navalize it. The canopy, now functional, opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke, Shift/0. AT this time, wingfold in NOT functional. The data ini statements refelct this for carrier on-deck parking. Other changes are the addition of the Userlist, a new avionics ini that adds the radar- ranging gunsight. And a revamped SF2 version of my 'artwork' hangar screen. The aircraft is fully carrier-capable, as per the July 2012 patch level. No weapons are included; all stock items are called out. The new drop tanks are built into the aircraft's LOD, ala SF2 3W birds. The weapons data IS included, of course. Sounds are all reused from the KAW Sabres, as is the NEW cockpit (also from the KAW F-86F) As always, READ the enclosed readme for full, detailed, easy-to-follow install instructions. Of course, the usual 'Notes' section for the ravings of a madman!! <g> Happy Landings!! wrench kevin stein
