  1. as this is a V2K aircraft.... but not to detract from the much wanted (and NEEDED) Flying Fort, here's the recently released Helldiver in it's 3-tone camo. Made from my Home Grown ™ template. Just needs modex decals...and determine if/what G system marking is/was/should be used. i think I"ll also do the -3 version, to give something for slightly eariler year usage.
  2. trust me, solomons V3 works GREAT in SF2. It's only lacking the carrier base coding (NavalMap=TRUE) and the waterbmp with the carrier stations (and there would be only one for USN ... but would be VERY close to The WALL which is why I never added it). In the case of most of the PTO terrains (Solomons, Phillipines, Okinawa, Darwin) they REQUIRE the VietnamSEA cat, even though each of those terrains has their specific tilesets included within the terrain folder. whatever issues USAFP2 is having is something caused at his end, as has been discussed in the Missions/Campaigns Forum this is 100% TRUE. Now, you can MAKE it NA only, by 1) not flying on any other map but IcelandNA 2) deleting all non essential aircraft, groundobjects and whatnots. and that would be more work than it's work, imo Simply by design, ALL SF2 game installs (read: mods folders) run from ANY of the exes will ALWAYS have all the items from all the games avialable. This has been asked and answered hundreds of times... It's because ... SF2 SF2:V SF2:E SF2:I SF2:NA all use the same 'core files'; dlls, wavs, ini, cats, etc. You wanna talk about a major 'reach around', this is it. Is there something "different" about the SF2NA.exe? Nothing I've seen and experimentated with has DISproven the fact that, YES there is. It seems to be releated to shipboard basing of Naval aircraft (and in some cases, USMC birds too). The same terrain(s) in SF2 will NOT work as advertised, or built as they do in SF2NA, or a mods folder built from the SF2NA.exe. The best example of this is Cuba OTC+; locks/feeezes at anywhere from 70-90% loading in SF2. The same terrain, when placed in SF2NA loads right up (well, after a short wait due to someone cramming millions of items into the targets.ini ) and works as desinged. So, don't know what else to say!
  3. that would be my guess! maybe just use this line? DecalNumberBlockSize=1

SF2 WW2 SB2C Helldiver Tweeks Pak -- Something for the PTO players -- = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = Some tweeks, and a new skin for Veltro2K's recently released Curtiss SB2C "Helldiver" WW2 USN dive bomber. This skin is a simple re-decaling of the original release Dark Gloss Navy Blue, represent VB-7 from USS Hancock, post June/July 1945 (when BuAer mandated the changover from 3-tone). The skin is in jpg format, and decal randomization is set to TRUE. Tweeked Data, loadout, and main inis as well as Sounds, weapons are included. BRAND NEW SF2 "box art" hangar and loading screens, too. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. It contains the Change List. Happy Hunting! wrench kevin stein
  5. 4 or 5 base skins, HUNDREDs of decals why don't you just buy it and find out?
  6. so, what the deal? How hard can it be? (covered in the KB, by the way!!) you just copy/paste the NA.exe BACK into the core install location, -ti'll show up as StrikeFighters2 NorthAtlantic - Copy.exe then, you simply rename it to what you want. Create new shortcut to that exe, change the icon if you want, run it, and mod that newly created folder. everytime you want to play that particular 'era/, just use that shortcut remember: copy/pasting MODS folders don't do nothing; you have to have the executable for that particular install
  7. will you for G-d's sake, TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK!!!! and where's the required Screenshot? So folks know what they're getting

Republic F-84G Thunderjet by RussoUK =For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended/Preferred,etc) *Expansion Pak 1 may be necessary for WW2 era weapons, if not using the GunnyPak* Some modifications, tweeks, and general fiddling on Russo's fine F-84G Thunderjet. Skins provided are: 159th FBS, USAF in Korea 468th SFS, 508th SFW, USAF/SAC, Turner AFB, GA (both by JSF_Aggie) 6th Aerobrigata AMI (originally by Stephan S, with all new decals by me) Royal Danish Air Force Portugese Air Force, 20th Squadron Generic Natural Metal (above 3 by me) All new decals for the RDAF (historicaly correct, but representing no particular squadron) and a 'generic' set of serials and Buzz Numbers for the G-NM are included. As generic in nature, they represent no particular squadron, but these along with the G-NM skin can be used for other NATO operative countries (Greece, Turkey, etc). The 6 ACB skin has several actual, historic serials. These are marked with a star (*) on the number lst. All others ARE those as used by AMI T-Jets, but was unable to lock in a particular unit. Some of the additions/changes are locating the node-name so the nose wheel now piviots for steering, addition of a landing light (nose only), canopy operated via manual animation key (use, as expected, Shift/0). Armor protection has also been upgraded. The avionics have been adjusted to activate the radar-ranging gunsight. A new userlist was also created -it may not be fully accurate, and adjustments are welcomed! Loadouts use WW2 era bombs from the GunnyPak, but is easily readjusted to use those from SF2 expansions 1 & 2. External drop tanks use the everpresent F-86 tanks for those under-fuselage mounts (closest shape and size). A new AN-M81 260 lb fragmentation bomb (from KAW) is included and used for CAS/Armed Recon. The inner hardpoints have been split into 2 groups, as the G model had a nuclear delivery mode, with a bomb on one inner hardpoint, and a drop tank on the other. These early bombs are available in my 3W F-84F upgrade kit, available here at CA. For mission builders, an "alternative loadout for CAS/Attack/SEAD is included using the Triple rocket racks. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! PLEASE read the extensive "Notes" section ... there's Vital Information ™ on operation uses and glitches that you need to be aware of. Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein
  9. no, it don't however, montyCz's S-99 should work in 1stGens
  10. yah, I did some of those very self same skins nearly 7 year ago, plus a buttload of other. And the Mk V trop is seriously showing it's age What I'm saying is... IF you purchase WoI from 3rd Wire, AND purchase the WoI Expansion Pak, you won;'t be having to screw around with that. They come STOCK be a VERY worthwhile investment. By having WoI you get the CORRECT terrain, not that worn out old fictional Desert map. AND all the IDF aircraft, bunchs and lots of MiGs, Vatours, Mystres, and so on and so forth you get in the expansion pak: C-47A MiG-15 Mig-15Bis Spit Mk IX P-51D Meteor F.8 Vampire (a bunch of different marks) Hunter (bunch of different marks) Canberra B (2 or 3 different one?) plus all the (semi) correct national skins and decals. The added bonus is the Expansion Pak brings the game almost to the original release level of SF2. your choice!
  11. File Name: SF2 WW2 ETO 53rd FS, P-47D Bubbletop Pak File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 22 January 2013 File Category: P-47 SF2 WW2 ETO 53rd FS, P-47D Bubbletop Pak -- Something for the WW2 ETO players -- = For SF2 ONLY, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This skin should have been in with the recently released ETO Bubbletop Jug pak (for Wolf's Jug), but I'd forgotten that I'd moved it to a storage folder. As I had to reskin it and make some new decals to replace Major Lee's originals (sorry Ken!!), here it is! It sorta 'fell through the cracks', and I apologize! This pack contain the skin/decal set for the 53rd FS, 36th FG, 9th AF (NM only) in early 1944 (pre-Invasion Striped). All new decals replace the originals by Major Lee, and Decal randomization set to TRUE. The NEW skin is in Jpg format. Serial numbers are 'generic' in nature, but are correct for the model/sub-variant depicted. As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Major Lee's original readme is enclosed for historical purposes Good Hunting!! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file

  13. the 3.7 inch Brit AAA guns are by Geo, from one of his ww2 paks. the 'tommyflak' are the same ones, just renamed by Gepard, iirc, fro the Battle of Britian WW2 terrain. there's no realy difference in them, just the name!
  14. 8, (or anyone else that wants) give this a try ... in the zip is a new VietnamSEA_water.bmp, with 2 'firendly' cv stations in approx Yankee and Dixie locations unzip, and drip it into your VietnamSEA terrain folder (create one if needed!!) open (extrct if needed and place in the terrain folder) the VietnamSEA.ini, and add the following lilnes: WaterMap=VietnamSEA_Water.bmp NavalMap=TRUE see how that works for ya! now, sometimes, even in my full5 merged install, the boat is placed a bit too close inshore, but seem to work ok. I know there's some coding issues that have never been fully addressed by The Manufacturer
  15. and Paint.net, too automatically. be advised, however. Some LODs that are speced ONLY for dds, can/will ONLY take that format. Niether jpg or bmp will work on those. So be carefull what you work on
  16. I take it you don't have WoI Expansion Pak? the Daks, Mustang and Spitre 9 are all stock 3W items. Plus you get Vampires, Canberras, Mig15s and more peroid correct GroundObjects (sherman tanks) be worth the investment, methnks
  17. i think (and may not be totally right...) have SF2NA in the merged install. and properly coded terrains with the additon of the 'CVzones' painted on the _water.bmp. however, even with a full-5 merged, terrains can generatve CVBGs, but they'll be in odd places (like the middle a desert or mountaisn!!!)
  18. works exactly as DA described in PS.7 (and PS6 with the plugin). Gimp also it's a simple "save as..."
  19. As all Level=1 decals do, it activates the 'squadron name display' on the loadout screen, the same way TKs "SqTail***.tga". in partuclar, WHICH 1stGens? All of Pasko's have serious decal bleed issues -- going bats**t crazy with the tail markings on his Liberators Even painting them on has problems
  20. it's called "an open mesh" judging by the inclusion of cowlflaps, and tail light socket, I'd say that's the DAT Jug. Report it Capun. I'm sure he'll fix it
