  1. have you looked in the SF/Wo* WW2 downloads section (aircraft/allied fighters) ???? I KNOW there's one there....since I did it!! NF12 ..aint perfect, but it works alfie: yup! (also in the WW2 downloads section) for a good reference book, i'd reccomend the Modelers Data file on the Mossie (i'll find the link, since I d/led the book so long ago...)
  2. my years work too! but to answer the question -- 1969. (I'd originally thought 1957, my birth year, but the aircraft then sucked. Want something with better missiles and radars, but not too good!)
  3. so, something like this.....(fuse marking are, and always have been, decals) the new panel lines are a bit darker than i'd like (prolly due to the 'dark blurred line' under them), but as they'd be coverd by a national insignia, it's moot. The whole thing really needs to be redone...and FM is totally borked -needs a complete new one (never have figured out WHY it's nose-down on take off; might be a thrust angle issue on the engines) (bonus points to ID squadron -yes, fictional but very famous!)
  4. even I don't have them ... but it's a simple add layers, paint in the new lines where the roundells/fin flash are, paint the wing/tail/body as needed to match the camo, adjust opacity of the line, flatten and off you go. Should take about an hour, with smoke breaks don't forget to UPsize the bmps when creating the template to AT LEAST!!! 1024x1024 -- them skins are way too small, and the large size makes working them much easier

Yakovlev Yak-3RD "What If..." Mixed-Propulsion Fighter by Pakso = For SF2, Any & All versions (Full-4 Merged Prefered*) = *Note: Full-4 merged prefered tag is because some decals used are referenced from SF2:I* Modifications, tweeks, FM enhancements, and so forth to Pakso's Prop/Rocket fighter. This makes the assumption (oh! that word!) the 3RD was put into serial production, instead of the just the 2 prototypes that were historically built. As was the original release, it is "As Is" with all the flaws and warts and etc. See the "Notes" section for more details. This package replaces the one I uploaded some long time back at CombatAce. As expected, the canopy opens/closes via manual animation keystroke -the (in)famous Shift/0. No weapons or guns are supplied with this pak; they are the same ones included in the Yak-9U pak recently released, and should be available in Gunny's Weapons Pak. It also should be noted, the Mission Profiles that can be flown have been limited to A-A: CAP, Intercept (due to expected range limitations), and Recon just for fun (with drop tanks). All new skins, from new Home-Grown Templates ™ in 1024x are supplied. One is Natural Metal, and other is overall Medium Gray. See the "Notes" section regarding the 2-tone Gray camo supplied, but not activated (severe LOD mapping issues) As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read for further information and stuff like that there. For historical purposes, Pasko's original readme is included. This will give a (relatively) decent "What If..." for WW2 and the Post-War period; the Beginning of the Cold War, hence it location in the "What If Hangar". wrench kevin stein
  6. to be checking these out, I must be!
  7. simmerspaintshop.com ... one of the best places for skinning tutorials
  8. on the other side of the coin, just pull the "AA-**" missiles from the GunnyPak, and drop in the weapons folder.
  9. They've got Gaddaffi

so, my question is: when can we move back to Wheelus??
  10. HOW did you close/cover the back window??? I went NUTS with that, trying to do the -5/5N mod!! Couldn't get a decal or whatall to work! i'll pm the templates over to you as soon as I can. pretty sure Geo has left the community, but maybe an email link at his site still works? http://www.geos-aircraft.com/ I don't have a template for the Bearcat; sorry!
  11. looks good! i have a homemade template, if you want it Paulo edit: forgot to ask, is the FM adjusted to SF2 standards?
  12. it's DAT property ... they ONLY way to get it is through them. That's the rules
  13. hurc, i'd say that's damn near perfect!! with a couple "small additions" (that I know aren't really possible)
  14. I don't know if TMF kept them, but on the outside chance they did, maybe a PM to Sony Tuckson would help. Maybe Bpao kept the max file? can't hurt!
  15. thank eric! we can only keep our fingers crossed
  16. File Name: A-16A 'Attack Falcon' File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 07 July 2011 File Category: What If Hangar A-16A 'Attack Falcon' -- For SF2, Full-4 Merged (Prefered) and/or SF2:I ONLY!!! -- As stated above, you =MUST= have a Full-4 Merged install, or at the VERY LEAST SF2:I to make use of this mod package, as it references all stock items for the aircraft and cockpit lods that are ONLY found in SF2:I or Full-4 Merged game installs. If you have neither of these, don't download this, as you'll not be able to use it. This is a modification of the F-16 Netz into the proposed A-16A 'Attack Falcon', a specalized ground support aircraft intended to replace the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Those wishing more infromation on it, are encouraged to Google it, and also look at F-16.net. The aircraft has been completely reskinned in 3-tone Euro 1, from a new home-grown template. Markings represent those based a Nellis AFB, Nevada (for weapons testing and integration). All basic inis, skins and decals are included, as is new green painted version of the AIM-9P Sidwinder (just for this mod/skin pak). All markings are decals, with the exception of the Nellis tail stripe. Serial numbers are spurious; taken from another source. In the Loadout ini, several alternate loadouts are listed. These can be accessed from the 3rdWire mission editor screen (for post-Expansion Pak 2 users). With the exception of the green 9P winder, all loadouts use stock items. As always, =READ= the enclosed readme for full, detailed instructions. This package has been broken down into the various folders that SF2 needs/requires/should have, to make it a LOT easier to install. Also, as usual, the expected 'Notes and Other Nonesense' comments by me. Any and all inaccuracies are mine, as we only have the Netz to work from Good Hunting! 17. are you f***ing kidding me? that's pure f***ing bulls**t!! Every patch we get, something new is broken. Something that's worked perfectly since Day1, in over 500 aircraft mods. ya know, it be great to actually have these little f***-ups notated somewhre, like in the patch read me. "Due to changes in coding, hangar screen will not appear as before. Custom hangar screens will need to be installed into every skin folder for the aircraft effected, as they now change with with skin operational start years. This only effect 3rd Party add-on aircraft, those originaly AI-only and newly added skins" wow. just wow.
  18. My new Hotfod grill here's the pics.

omg ... THAT is so frakiing AWESOME!!!! (from Chevy Lover!!)
  19. yah, the aircraft list ini thingy is quite impressive ...3 Oz Mirages, L,M,N model scooters, N & S phantoms, 3 Intruders (plus EA-6B), A model Crud, RF-8 crud, F-84F_56,, Thuds F & G, different model mig-15s (including FB version), The Bears (!!!), buncha new blinders.... definate possibilities there!
  20. File Name: Yak-9 Pak for SF2 (by Pasko) File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 18 October 2011 File Category: Soviet Origin Yakovlev Yak-9U, -9UT and -9P "Frank" by Pakso = For SF2, Any & All versions (Full-4 Merged Prefered) = *Note: Full-4 merged prefered tag is because some decals used are referenced from SF2:I* MOdifications, tweeks, FM enhancements, and so forth to Pakso's Yak-9 WW2/Korean Era/Early Cold War Soviet & satellite countries fighter. This package contains 3 aircraft: Yak-9U Yak-9UT (made from the data ini supplied by Pasko on the original release) *Note: these have the plywood aft fuselage, hence no rivets* Yak-9P will full metal fuselage (export version?) The 9U & 9P have the standard arament of 2 12mm machine guns and single 20mm cannon through the prop hub. The 9UT has 2 20mm upper deck cannon and a 37mm gun through the prop hub (T= anti-tank. Works great against bombers too!) All aircraft have new, enhanced FMs for SF2. While pretty close, there is probably some room for improvement - this is !ENCOURAGED! for those with the skills and time to accomplish. All aircraft have completely NEW skins, created from a Home-Grown Templates (patent pending), and how have the correct color schemes, as well as corrected/new panel and rivet lines for the variant (9U/UT is different from 9P). All national marking and 'Bort' numbers are stock, in-game decals. Userlists are incuded for all three. All guns and weapons, excepting bombs which are stock, are provided in this pak, as well as Pasko's pilot figure. As expected, the canopy opens/closes via manual animation keystroke -the (in)famous Shift/0. A new in-line V-12 sound, from many of the WW2 mods, is included. A quick note on guns: the nose cannon on ALL variants has been set as "Fire_Secondary_Gun", so make sure you have a seperate button mapped for it's use. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read for further information and stuff like that there. For historical purposes, Pasko's original readme is included. Good Hunting! wrench kevin stein Click here to download this file
