  1. AHH!! (slaps self on forehead!!) Of course! FrenchNavy is a seperate nation from France! Why didn't I see that!!?? thanks Florian, you're a life and mod saving genius!!
  2. The sabre is closer in general shape than the Huns You can still open cockpit lods with your handy-dandy hex editor; it's only the aircraft lods that are lock away. You WILL have some fiddling to do with positioning, external visible meshes (on the external aircraft model) and other sorts of nonesense. but quite doable
  3. moved to the What If Forum ----------------- really nice looking skins!!!
  4. when did they start showing up in a gray, lo-viz scheme??? Can't find any data on that, let alone the 2-tone gray! TIA!
  5. thanks gunrunner! looking here from the USA turns up next to nothing! carlo - many thanks! that's the perfect skin; and there's a newer, better AN blue tooo! just have to check with Sony on permission to include this is the loviz gray i'm still working on .. some panel lines still to do, and dirty it up a bit
  6. Afghanistan, 2010 ... Battle Flags are Flying!
  7. yes, The one I"m doing has brandy new, fully SF2 compliant FM. Still working out a few cockpit bugs. Thinking about the SE-M variant for post-1990 usage (but trying to find a replacement cockpit withOUT a moving map display....<cough> A-7E <cough> there's a couple of screenies in the Screenshots thread of the original blue skin
  8. Sure you're not going out to Dr. Carrington's station, to investigate that 100 ton metallic object that impacted the ice??? -- ace: what what ifs? point them out, please. yes, it should still be 'in force' for those -- and WHY oh WHY are people STILL asking/commenting on stuff like "what overcast mod is this", when a PM to the poster would be MUCH more efficent, and keep the thread content relevant? Lets try this for a change -- Post Pictures, Not Text!! -- A nice day for flying over the Med..
  9. is this even in the right Forum? Anotolia for the SF2 series
  10. that's the loviz gray I'm looking for! (and redrawing a new template to make!) the Tiger skin's great! so, where to find it?
  11. goes in the skin's textureset ini, Russo, based on the number of decals (ie: serils, modex, letter codes, etc) [TextureSet] Name=14 Flottille Nation=FrenchNavy Squadron= Specular=0.500000 Glossiness=0.550000 Reflection=0.350000 DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE DecalNumberBlockSize=16 DecalNumberStart=0 DecalNumberEnd=15
  12. stock game only give you SA2 and SA6 (SA8 iirc, may be tasked as Mobile_AAA) -- do you have any other SAMs (and their radars) in the /GroundObjects folder (3, 5,7,10,11, etc) So, grab the necessary add-on SAMs (and radars), dump them in the /GO folder and they should show up Otherwise, it's editing the desert targets and types inis -- they have to be added TO the terrain itself
  13. hmmmmm....is that the Templehoff terminal I spy??? love that airbase ... needed something like that like, forever!!
  14. File Name: F-104G Starfighter, Generic SEA/NATO 3-Tone skin File Submitter: Wrench File Submitted: 05 October 2011 File Category: F-104 F-104G Starfighter, Generic SEA/NATO 3-Tone skin, (1024x1024) For SF2, Any & All (Full-4 Merged Prefered) Note: usable in any SF2 install with access to the F-104G This is 'medium rez' skin for the stock F-104G; I call these "medium rez", as it's only 1024 x 1024. There is no partucular nation attached to this skin; it's "Generic" (however, certain contries may have had different placards - these, again, are generic in nature). This is a "clean" skin, with no painted on markings, using all stock in-game markings (decals) - the decals ini will use whichever you choose (excepting USAF). This will allow skinners/decalers more latitude in creating country-specific squadron markings and such. The skin has a default start date of 1970; you can adjust as needed (again, a generic date of 1973 might be more accurate). Included also are updated data and loadout inis, with "Nation & Year Specific" mission profile loadouts (in particular Marineflieger anti-ship). Updated version of the AS-30 and Kormoran 1 missile are included, for MFG usage. *Note: the only thing NOT added is the Orpheus recon pod for KLU usage* As expected, the canopy operates with the Shift/0 key. Since the skin mapping hasn't changed since SFP1, this skin should (may) also be usable in 1stGen game installs that have the F-104G accessable. This, however, has NOT been tested. As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!! Happy Landings! wrench kevin stein PS: the attached screenie shows HAF Zippers, with stock 3W serials, BuzzNumbers and national insigina Click here to download this file
  15. I'd forgotten about the 'built into the aircraft lod drop tanks' dosen't work in SF1 -- a simple edit of the data ini takes care of that!

  17. there's a trick for that too.... you can make a decal, 64x64, with a 1 pixel square in the middle, call it "SqTail", then use the same Scale= size number. I did that for the A-12 Flying Dorito, to get the USN squadron names to show - you can use the decal from that pak if you want to! It just has to be anywhere on the plane, listed as a Level=1 to activate the Squadron Name display on the LoadoutScreen
  18. I PROMISE!!! I won't!! I'll leave the BLW & MFG Zippers to you Experts! (however, I will release a 'generic' 3-tone, with no painted-on markings so decaler can go nuts )
  19. be almost impossible using TK flight engine ... don't forget all the recon mission are run BELOW 1000ft. of course, you can always fly the entire profile by hand, to the required altitudes for those birds. Wonder if the mission builder would accept the proper alt parameters??
  20. i was surprised at that 2! well,its only Flotille12 and 14!
  21. actually, it goes in the /PilotData folder. (just found that out with the JASDF starfighter squadrons I just added and released)
